    Baldock rejects Dons chance.

Bristol City forward Sam Baldock has rejected the chance to rejoin his former club MK Dons, according to Dons boss Karl Robinson.

Baldock, who began his career with the Dons before leaving to join West Ham in August 2011, took his tally for the season to 20 goals with a double in the Robins' 2-1 victory over Peterborough in midweek.

Following the game at London Road on Tuesday night, Robinson called the 24-year-old to see if he wanted to finish the campaign on loan at stadium:mk and assist with the Dons' late surge for a play-off spot.

"I asked him if he wanted to come back for the rest of the season," Robinson told the Milton Keynes Citizen.

"(The answer was) No! But we have to start looking at these sorts of players. We need a known goalscorer.

"We're searching the leagues to find a team who aren't in the play-offs, who aren't in a relegation battle, to try and get one of their strikers to help us out - at any level.

"There are funds available, so we have to go and find what we can. We'll have to find something to bolster the squad."

The Dons are still awaiting international clearance for free agent Mark Randall. Having spent time with Ascoli in Italy earlier this season, the 24-year-old midfielder, who had a loan spell with the club in 2010 when he was an Arsenal player, must wait for FIFA to ratify his short-term deal before he can be added to Robinson's squad.

"We are still awaiting international clearance for him and he'd be a good one to have on the bench on Saturday," said Robinson. "He has been training well and has tremendous quality

    SAT IS CRUNCH DAY ONE

they are home to peterbro lose and it is almost over they would need peterbro to lose 3/ lose 2 draw 1and get the same results in all the rest of their fixtures............ MKDONS TOP 6 11/1 GOOD CHOICE SAMMY
they also have home games against
    wolves
    Brentford
    orient
    and away to
    Rotherham

realistically there is only 1 place to play for in the top 6 that's Peterbros

oh dear. If teams like Wimbledon Rovers are tapping up our players we really have hit a bit of a low point.
If Britt Arselikeabongo is worth £1.5m, then surely Sammy is a million pounds or more. So tapping him up to get him on loan is shameful.
I hope we can keep him

For me, rejecting a move in January probably isn't a sure sign that Baldock won't want out come the end of the season.

He can do a lot better than MK. I'd say he's at a better club than them right now.

I think I would prefer clubs interested in our players than have no interest. And reassuring to know that he rejected a move to them or whoever
