    Poor list, only read the first page as well.

    some of those are from the early years of the CL and were at a time english football was basically very old fashioned. we had a lot to learn in europe over our very direct, gung ho style.

    And though adding Ruud van Nistelrooy and Juan Sebastián Véron gave United greater attacking potency and variety, replacing Jaap Stam with Laurent Blanc awarded opposition the same.

    They lost away and at home to Borussia Dortmund – on account of cowardice and profligacy respectively.

    After 17 years of service, Alex Ferguson awarded himself an extended sabbatical and testimonial, resulting in the arrival of players such as David Bellion, Eric Djemba-Djemba and Kléberson, along with the Glazer family.

    I sense a lack of neutrality here! Is the Author a dipper by any chance? :)

    Leverkuson were lucky to knock us out in 01-02 season. We dominated both games just didn't take our chances. That bloke should get shot for being a clown.

    He wrote a book on uniteds treble winning season and was a consulting producer on the Class of 92 movie.
