Did he have a chance at City?

 

I would like to point out at this point that there is a difference between playing against the Blades and and against a PL side.
Having said that, we never gave him a chance so we don't know, if he plays his football the same way regardless of league or opponent then we might have missed the boat with this one.

 

Big difference SB, but with our current position maybe could have done with giving him a try..

Good old Malky

 

It's a strange case as we were led to believe Malky had tried to sign him in the previous January window. He was well regarded as a very good Championship level full back with Derby but has never been given the chance to show what he can do in the Prem.

There was a rumour that he did not give his all in pre-season training and had a very public fall out with Bellers over that.

Looks like another case of will we ever know the true story.

He has done very well with the Blades though and understand why he is a cult (is that spelled correctly?) figure.

Mind you, I'm not sure about the beard he now sports. Must create a lot of wind drag. Could be looking for a part in Game of Thrones or Spartacus?

At least he got one league game - sent off.

I understood he had a very bad attitude when he was here, so he was a waste of our money.
They will be looking to buy him on the cheap now.
I'm not the kind to hold a grudge but with a Wembly trip looming, if it was me I'd call him back off loan now and Fug 'im!

 

Are you referring to Simon Lappin? If so he had 2 starts - one at Barnsley which was where he got his red card and the other at Birmingham.

As for Brayford he will be a useful addition to our championship squad next season unless we by a miracle stay up.

As McNaughton & Cowie have both been given new contracts, I wonder whether that is to bolster a championship squad next season as they are not good enough for the PL.

Interestingly, didn't we win both games? If so, 100% league record is not bad is it? He also played in the 1 - 1 draw friendly at Cheltenham. Does that count?
