If true, it is more likely to be to do with the length of contract that remains. Who saw the £1m clause for Kuyt coming?
Rumour one Liverpool will face fierce competition from Real Madrid if they move for Sevilla full-back Alberto Moreno. The 21-year-old is wanted by Reds boss Brendan Rodgers, but sources in Spain say Real are ready to firm up their interest in the player by making a bid. Madrid look ready to offer £16m as well as including some of their promising youngsters in the deal, meaning it could be tough for Liverpool to entice Moreno to Anfield. Source: TalkSport Rumour two The agent of a Dynamo Moscow winger claims Everton made a move for him in January - and they could pursue their interest in the summer. Balazs Dzsudzsak’s agent Jozsef Voroshbarani is quoted as saying: "Yes, in the winter, Everton showed interest in Dzsudzsák. But now negotiations are frozen. Balázs is focused on his performances for Dynamo. Talks can happen in the summer, when the transfer window reopens." According to Voroshbarani, Liverpool have also been interested in Hungary international Dzsudzsak, 27. The winger recently said: “It's probably everyone's dream to play for a club like Liverpool.” Source: Sport Witness Rumour three Former Manchester City midfielder Nigel de Jong has been linked with a surprise move to Anfield. The experienced Holland international will have just one year to run on his AC Milan contract by this summer. According to Football Direct News, sources in Italy are saying the Reds tried to bring de Jong in on loan in January as cover for the injured Lucas Leiva. They could reignite their interest in the summer as, if the Reds finish in the top four, boss Brendan Rodgers will be searching for players with Champions League pedigree. Source: Football Direct News Rumour four Rumours linking Levante goalkeeper Keylor Navas with a move to Merseyside refuse to go away. Both Everton and Liverpool are believed to be among a clutch of clubs keeping tabs on the 27-year-old Costa Rica international. Navas is under contract at Levante until the summer of 2015 and has yet to put pen to paper on a new deal, despite holding preliminary contract talks in October. A summer departure for Navas appears likely. AC Milan and Atletico Madrid are also waiting to pounce. Source: Here Is The City
1) Never heard of him 2) Never heard of him 3) Wanted us to get him in January but the boat has sailed now. Bigger, better and younger targets once we have CL football. 4) Never heard of him
meh... just stoking. none IMO are interesting. i think the real stories will come after WC not before.
Amazing no RCB/LB or DM mentioned as of late ( apart from De Jong but that ship has sailed I believe).
Morrison is a tricky one. No doubt the kid has huge potential, but it's whether he is mature enough to realise that potential and get his head down and become a top player. Would be a big gamble but could be that creative number 10 along with Coutinho.
Would feel this would be a cake walk for Rodgers considering dealing with Suarez and those issues, Raheem and his, and getting a selfish, immature player in Sturridge and transforming him into a focused individual. Would depend on the price though IBWT, you know they will want TOP penny for him. G- Marchisio is too old but not really a CDM or holding mid either, not even sure if he is that far ahead the likes of a Hendo anymore. Good player no doubt though.
i think is a little too far out for rumors to really crystallize. in may if we get cl things will fly.
Of those mentioned MITO, only Morrison is realistic. Iturbe will be bound for Inter or AC, Ljajic will probably stay at Roma ( they will be back in the CL), and Marchisio will probably go to a Roma, AC if he does leave, maybe an Atletico possibly.
Sack off Morrison. We can do better. Someone made a great point - we really need to try and get 3rd place now. Automatic qualifications means that we can get our business done early. If we finish 4th, we would probably have to wait until we win the qualifiers before committing ...
You have Everton that sticks out but a few years ago and up and coming team, Borussia Monchengladbach ( big back in the day, hit hard times, then bounced back) got into the CL. But since they only got fourth could not really get the targets they wanted up and ended up with players like Luuk De Jong....... got knocked out of the play-in round and since then have been struggling again. If possible, really need to push Arsenal for that 3rd spot and let them battle it out with Spurs if possible. Agree on Morrison Jimmy but in terms of the links today, he is the only one that would or could be realistic.
morrison is gash.... pogba was the guy with the will to succeed and he told ferguson to stuff himself and went looking to grow. morrison just has a bad attitude
I meant more in that they seem to like going for establish mid to late twenties players. I've not doubt they'd splash the cash on a player. RvP, Felliani and Mata all fit that category too.
