They are nailed on for game-changing performances given that both should be banned anyway for their scum behaviour last game

  2. I wouldn't mind if Sakho was fit. Him and skrtel would deal with the long ball all day long

If Fellani had the brains to try and attach himself to Agger it could be a problem but he tends to look for the ball on the right hand side of the box which should mean Skrtel eats him up. Anyway Moyes wont do this.

I think Skrtel deals with the ball down the middle pretty well. It's the set-pieces we struggle with, as he gets involved with all that argy-bargy that goes on in the box and forgets that there's a ball around somewhere.
I'd be quite happy for the mancs to pump balls down his throat (so to speak)- he's always got a mistake in him somewhere, but who hasn't?
    It's all about percentages.

  5. Skrtel is very good at dealing with the long punts but needs his partner and possibly the FB to cover for him too since Martin is a bit gung-ho; the ball is there so I'm going for it!

But that's what I like about him- the no-nonsense, go for the jugular approach.
I completely agree that if that's going to work for us as a team he needs others around him to mop up the stuff he misses. But I've maintained for a long time now that his problem has been trying to do everything all the time. Hopefully Sakho will give us that added bit of aggression, but we still haven't seen an awful lot of him.

  7. Same. The rugby approach annoys me but you've got to love a guy thats see a ball and claims it no matter who or what gets in the way. Got to love the facial expression hen he's trying too <laugh>

Sakho can do it too but he doesn't seem to have the same urgency. Soto used to be like it too and he's a bit of a folk hero isn't he? <laugh>

    Seriously, how worried is Astro?

All season hes been on the offensive but why is he so worried about little old United?

    We'll probably play this team

    ---------------De Gea
    Smalling - Vidic ------- Jones - Evra
    Valencia---------------------Young
    ----------Carrick--Cleverley--------
    ----------Rooney--van Persie

    Terrible terrible line up

however if you see this or so0mething similar, then worry...... right up until you remember about Moyes <ok>

    --------------de Gea
    rafael ---Evans------Jones---Evra
    ---------Fellaini----Carrick
    Mata-------Rooney------Januzaj/Nani
    -----------van Persie

Great team. Shame it'll be the first. **** you moyes!

On the second one, good attack but that mid and the CB's we could get at. Please play the first one though.

Both Carrick and fellaini would be holding so effectively its a 6 man defence when you have the ball.

When we have the ball, Rafael and evra join in plus every so often Fellini ventures forward, bundling into people and causing chaos ( for both sides, wtf is he doing <laugh> ).

Vidic is the week link, if Evans if available I would play him over Vidic.

I assume that means leaving the old guy at the back just in case fellaini starts bumbling forward?

What about the GK though? Do you think old man Steve can keep us out if we break?

  15. I guess it depends on who you see having most possession when looking at what you're saying. If you guys have more and we play counter-attacking then what you have said would suit us perfectly. If we have possession then we'll pen you in and find it hard to break down.

Of course, you would have Mata, Rooney, Januzaj/Nani and RvP attacking Skrtel, Agger and Gerrard at the other end. Much like you suggest for the Man Utd FBs, our FBs will be expected to attack and defend too.

I reckon the game will be very dull, very tight and both teams will be afraid.

Liverpool are under pressure to win, United are under pressure to win. Both teams will fold and if we are lucky, some bobbled free kick will win the game in the 86th minute.

Suarez & Studge will wander wide if the full backs plow on then they'll love the space they have to run at you same thing goes for the middle 2 if they sit we wont play through there.

Imo this will come down to desire and hard work. We can talk about tactics all day but I expect the winner here to be the more positive team.

Pretty much however, I would say the winner will be the side who has a positive 5 minutes. The rest of the match will be a bore fest of absolute ****e.

we'll be talking about the ref come full time, he'll probably give a yellow after 4 seconds which will ruin the game completely.

Gerrard will just sit but it's Hendo and Allen who will do the donkey work, Sterling will also put in a shift tracking back. I think Coutinho will be on the bench for this.
