I think this discussion about 'caring' is all way too simplistic. Most of the established players in the Premier League are pretty much set for life in terms the income they will take from their current contract (regardless of performance) and the status they will have when it's time to move on. And yet you still see most of them playing at the top of their game. At QPR several key things are in play none of which relate to the individual players 'not trying':
    1. Ludicrously over-cautious and inflexible tactics courtesy of HR
    2. Rapidly diminishing confidence from the Leicester game onwards
    3. A true injury crisis in all the wrong places coupled by a complete failure of HR to recruit enough forwards last summer
    4. And actually you know, we've been mightily unlucky in most of the recent games.

I've seen him quoted as saying he doesn't need the money, so I imagine he'll do the decent thing and walk away, don't you?

I don't think it's so much that the players don't care, although that might apply to one or two, it's more a lack of motivation - not quite the same thing. This was supposed to be Redknapp's strong point, because he's certainly no tactician.

Wed hope so but why is he hanging on when he doesn't like it here, needs a new knee and knows the fans don't like him?

With both Hughes and redknapp, the fans were split from the start at best.
Now we have fights in the stands at every game, rows of empty seats and people who just can't stand watching us.
That all goes back to appointing the wrong man and its a situation thats impossible to come back from.

I agree that he will be here until the summer. I just hope its no longer.

To be fair to the players (although many do not deserve it) the pressure of trying to play without a proper striker must be immense. Without Austin in the team and with johnson permanently crocked there is no outlet. Midfield seems to create nothing but hopeless that they are there's the reason for it.

Zamora and Johnson should be cut loose. No value, they can't even run anymore let alone play football, just send them home.

Criminal management to let things get to this stage and TF and Beard have much to answer for. Surely they can't be this naive, it's TF's third season here, ffs.

Lots of us fans said it was madness to go into the season with just 3 forwards, 2 of whom were crocks but redknapp thought otherwise and said they had a large part to play etc.

You need at least 3 fit forwards if you play one up front or 5 if you play 2up. The manager is at fault for ignoring what everyone else could see.
