Just taken a very thin slice of 4/1 on Big Buck's - I would be absolutely kicking myself if he won an I hadn't had a sentimental fiver on him at that price.
Well I found yesterday a nightmare to pick a winner, and I proved myself right, but today I have a good feeling for most of them, so i'll still get no winners today then... Anyway, not the most inspiring picks, but here goes... 1.30 - Felix Younger, 5/1... 2.05 - Fingal Bay, 7/1... 2.40 - Al Ferof, 11/2 + Hidden Cyclone, 10/1... 3.20 - Zarkandar, 14/1 e/w 4.00 - Third Intention, 14/1 + Firth Of The Clyde, 13/2... 4.40 - Indian Castle, 13/2 + Twirling Magnet, 14/1... Mostly all in e/w singles + a couple of e/w doubles, plus a small e/w Yankee...
Very interested in Third Intention aswell Red- 1st time in handicaps and could be very well treated!!
On the subject, has anyone ever flown first class on an A380? One of those massive airbus planes. It's a dream of mine.
Flew Lufthansa Business Class on the A380 to Peking a couple of years ago Bob - not much different to their standard Business class. Only flown BA First on the 747 but that is a mighty fine experience Depending on the Airline, they configure A380 First as private cabins with shower and bed although you need neither a shower nor a bed to drink Champagne
brilliant Oddy. Expensive glass of champoo though. Quevega lads? What were people expecting? She barely managed to beat Glens Melody 2 days ago but we fancy giving her a run 48 hours later for the laugh.
Hoping to get the placepot up today, will know my fate in the first as my banker is OW. Concentrating on 3 today: OSCAR WHISKY AL FEROF BIG BUCKS
Red . I was on the bridge early this morning with my duffle coat fastened tight and binoculars welded to my eye sockets when I spotted my Bismarck on the horizon off the starboard bow..Big Bucks..whoop,whoop..battle stations!! Would so love to be wrong about this one.
Yes, he's a smashing horse. Red, really love him. If he has a problem at Cheltenham, it's these flat spots he hits, why I don't know. He was running so well in one CH (can't remember which one) when he suddenly went flat at the top of the hill, then ran on again like a bomb at the finish. Very odd, pace quickened-up, I guess, and he couldn't go with it?
luvgonzo - moderator? Bloody hell? (That's me chucked-out I guess..........nevermind, maybe I'll at last go on Twitter, God! )
I'm having a cracking day. Supposed to be on the 1.20 to Frankfurt, just got a call from Lufthansa saying they can't get me on that so it will be the 3.40 to Brussells.I have now formally resigned myself to alcohol and am drinking very expensive pints of Budweiser and eyeing up the 8oz sirloin on the menu. Lufthansa are getting this ****ing bill, make no mistake. On the bright side there is a telly in the bar
Felix Yonger (single) and in an e/w double with Benefficient. A few outsider I fancy to run well at big prices - Utopie Des Bordes, just a hunch, purely as it's a Henderson horse. Also fancy Tartak to run a big race in the 4:00. Maybe not to win, but to place. Off a competitive weight now and has a decent record at Cheltenham.
The most eagerly anticipated clash then of the festival - Annie Power V Big Bucks. I really hope Annie Power gets beat today.. her owner has had quite a good festival already and it really would make me laugh if she's beat as it will serve them right for going for what they perceive to be the weakest race! Dont like the owner as it was simply people like him who were responsible for the financial crisis....unbelievable greed - 17.5 millions of shares cashed in immediately! arrogance whilst the majority in this country were suffering.... Anyway:- Taquin De Seul Al Ferof At Fishers Cross ( Rode a blinder last festival and Im expecting this horse to come back to that level now Curtis's horses are flying.) Tap Night All each way..
