On SkyBet Brian Laws is favourite. I personally would not like to see him at the Vic. What do you lot think?
Hi badge, welcome to the madness which is not606. I will say what i have said before and cant see it changing, i want Chris Hughton as the next watford football club manager. I will support who ever comes along though.
Oh and welcome badge! Sorry for the abrupt first post, I just really don't want him as manager, he's always seemed a bit clueless.
No i really dont want him either but he is fav so just curious. I would like Houghton or Derek Mcinnes but doubt it will happen
Does make you wonder how these 'favourites' come about. It's generally through a rumour or a number of bets on one person! Let's just hope some people have seriously been misguided and bet on Laws rather this being through fact. Maybe Bas has put a couple of million on Laws at long odds, then appoints him and reinvests the money into the club....
....after first sacking him, paying miminmal compensation and then signing Dyche and Harrison. Sounds like a plan!
Hello everyone new to these forums I personally wouldn't mind Brian Laws he has experience and to be fair most of his win ratio was with sheffield wednesday when anyone would have struggled to win with that team. He has experience (particularly with teams staring relegation in the face) and looks like he has desire to be very successful...not my favourite but better than most other potential candidates imo
Thanks Loofa for giving me a laugh! Err Brian Laws - is that some obscure GT and Scinthorpe connection? I'm sure thousands would head off to Vic Road in the heavy snow to welcome him!!!! My hope is Gary Waddock (take that blue & white USA shirt off him!) he has some genuine experience. Brian Laws is a bit tired after his spells at Burnley, Sheff Weds etc.
fair enough.. as i said he wouldn't be my first choice but he has experience and could be stability we need
He certainly wouldn't be my first choice (that'd be Paul Tisdale) but I think he'd be a better bet than many of the names being linked to the job. Steady if unspectacular, he is at least experienced and has worked at clubs with limited resources.
