Sorry, it Took too long to register and when I did someone pipped me to the post .... New to Not 606 (was on 606 a bit a while back), been watching from the sidelines waiting to make my debut and then I see this on Sky Bet!!! Brian Laws as favourite 11/8, Graham Westlake 5/2 & Dyche at 3/1 .... If Laws gets appointed I will start crying like a 2 year old and stamp my feet!!! could not think of anyone I would rather not have ...... For me I would love to see king Kenny J back at the Vic, I know its a long shot as he is pretty settled and doing a great job at Millwall. He does live locally and is a fan and has the history, come on GT give him a call .....
Welcome Elton's Taylor. I see from reactions Brian Laws would not be a popular choice. I will go and research him as I still do not know who he is.
Wikpedia has a nice photograph and a list of his clubs. 36% wins is not very successful, better than Malky though.
To be honest, I think we'd take a 36% win ratio next season... I would be surprised if we got in a 'name'.... we tend to go for someone young and trying to prove something - although maybe that is where we are going wrong. They do well here then look for the next step "up"
NEXT PERMANENT WATFORD MANAGER Brian Laws 11/8 Graham Westley 5/2 Sean Dyche 3/1 Mark Robins 7/1 Lawrie Sanchez 8/1 Chris Hughton 8/1 Dave Jones 9/1 Aidy Boothroyd 10/1 Gary Waddock 10/1 Neal Ardley 12/1 Derek McInnes 14/1 David Kerslake 16/1 Roberto Di Matteo 18/1 Billy Davies 18/1 Paul Tisdale 20/1 Alan Shearer 20/1 John Ward 20/1 Lee Clark 20/1 Colin Calderwood 20/1 Alan Curbishley 20/1 Gianfranco Zola 20/1 Steve Cotterill 25/1 Alan Irvine 25/1 Sean O'Driscoll 25/1 Roy Keane 25/1 Gareth Southgate 25/1 Ian Dowie 25/1 Keith Millen 25/1 George Burley 25/1 Dean Holdsorth 33/1 Martin Allen 33/1 Gary Johnson 33/1 Kenny Jackett 33/1 Paul Ince 33/1 Gordon Strachan 33/1 Chris Coleman 33/1 Terry Butcher 40/1 John Sheridan 40/1 Nigel Worthington 40/1 Chris Powell 50/1 Paul Peschisolido 50/1
I would like Jackett.... but Millwall won;t let him go without a fight and expect he will come at a pretty expensive cost!
Less than £300,000? I dunno, I will be really annoyed if that money does not go on getting a new manager!
I wonder if this counts as a 'transfer fee' and included in the 30-40% (whatever it is) stipulation on what can be reinvested.... Of course, we don;t know hoe much Cardiff 'paid' for Malky.... But let's hope it is at least this 300k figure!!
Well there are 1 or 2 on Bucks list I like the look of.......... I hope we go for someone who will continue the good football Malky had the team playing.
The list I posted is direct from the Skybet website. To be honest they may as well picked them all out of a hat! Only really a couple of names that could be realistic targets.
Thanks to all the nice welcomes! If Kenny cant come home, what do you think about another local boy becoming manager, Gareth Southgate, is he ready for another challenge or a waste of time?
