Had 5 bets at Cheltenham so far with just the one winner yesterday (SDG) and a tough second with Smad Place. Cannot desert my old pal Zarkandar in the World Hurdle, so a punt e/w at 14/1 for me, plus a small wager on At Fishers Cross. GL everyone!

    Hello lads.

    Very trappy stuff again.

Ladbrokes going 9/4 Annie Power for the next few minutes if anyone is interested.I would imagine the stake will be capped.

    Off for an indepth perusal.

    Cheers Steve.

ROTO - your Ryanair comments re Dynaste are very similar to mine. I can't put my finger on it but i haven't warmed to him. That Podcast I listen to seems to think Dynaste can't be beaten if he gets any sort of reasonable ride. I had a tenner on Boston Bob last week but I'd be shocked if he wins. Al Ferof i thought was very solid but i've never warmed to him either and thinking about it Al Ferof had a hard time of it against Harry Topper and the yard aren't firing yet. It's got to be out of Beneficient and Dynaste doesn't it?

Felix yonger - will improve vastly for the better ground, can't see past him at all! The English horses all tie in very closely so and I'd be disappointed if they could all beat Felix so therefore I don't think any will

Fingal bay - absolutely thrown in, if he's come out of his comeback well he should oblige

Dynaste - got to put a line through the kempton form but I am willing too, his haddock form is head and shoulders above the rest

Have done the above in singles and a trixie with an extra double on Felix and Dynaste

Really hope big bucks prevails, if Annie doesn't stay he wins easily! If she does then we could have a thriller

Felix Yonger's early season form in beating Defy Logic and Trifolium would have seen him go very close in the Arkle on Tuesday. He hasn't shown quite the same form in his last two runs but they were both on softer ground and he should appreciate today's going much more.

Double Ross was a horse I mentioned on a previous thread as an on-to-watch. He has had a couple of nice Grade 3 wins at Cheltenham already this season and could run well at a bigger price.

    I've backed Menorah e/w @ 9/1 in the Ryanair.

His run against Champion Court last Spring puts him right in the mix here.

1.30 the ground seems to be coming right for FELIX YONGER but I will still take an ew chance on my original choice DOUBLE ROSS as well

2.05 if he can defy top weight then the class horse to beat is Fingal Bay but I am going to take an e/w chance on UTOPIE DES BORDES at a big price.
Nicky Henderson's horses are in good form and this horse was running very well earlier this season.

    2.40 Dynaste - win bet

3.20 Annie Power - win bet

4.00 ROTO has already done a write up on my selection TATENEN but he definitely has a big chance e/w. I still think he would have won the Arkle 5 years ago had he not fallen.
if he doesn't win then Tony McCoy could get off the mark with COLOUR SQUADRON

    4.40 CAUSE OF CAUSES e/w

**** me I've obviously upset someone - flight from Birmingham cancelled this morning due to fog so I will now spend the entire ****ing day trying to get home and miss the racing. Must try and get a bet on though - like Fingal Bay, that McCain one in the Kim Muir, Oscar Whiskey, not sure what else yet and can't get my head around the fecking Ryanair!! Best of luck everyone.

    Morning all,
    My picks today:
    1.30 Mozoltov e/w
    2.05 Crowning Jewel e/w
    2.40 Hidden Cyclone
3.20 Big Bucks can't turn away from the old boy now. Small stakes only but would love to see him have one last hurrah! Really think AFC is a huge threat as his main problem is his jumping is sh**e but i think they only jump 2 flights in the last 7f on the new course which will help him.
    4.00 Giorgio Quercus e/w
    4.40 Indian Castle/Twirling Magnet

    Good luck all <ok>

Never mind Bob, better than if it happened on the way to the races like last year. And I'm flying business class so will be hitting the lounge shortly <ok>

50 cent e/w Lucky 63 for a bit of interest:

    1.30 Oscar Whiskey
    2.05 Fingal Bay
    2.40 Dynaste
    3.20 Big Buck's
    4.00 Bless The Wings
    4.40 Indian Castle

Unlucky Oddy...several flights from Heathrow also cancelled.

You could always do a Tom Hanks and hang around the airport toilets until after the last race tmz!...you might even make a few quid one way or another!

I'm sure I saw an "unconfirmed rumour" that the Nicholls' yard had ringworm. I don't see how it could be true, otherwise he wouldn't be having any runners. They would have had to be well isolated and tested. I assume this is an ugly rumour although, without a winner so far, one wonders if maybe there could be some other (lesser) problem that has been the subject of Chinese whispers. Does anyone know if his horses have drifted generally.

There would be no better way to crush that rumour than for Big Buck's to win impressively today. Just another reason why I will be cheering for him if he's there at the last.

The race is not a betting proposition for me as I think Annie and More of That are the 2 up and coming that might be too good this year.

Unlucky Oddy. You should have known they'd get you one way or the other. Next year the plane will be diverted.
