Morning Everyone, The Football League meet today to discuss Leeds Utd's takeover. Cellino has made it clear that should the League refuse to accept him, he will walk away taking the 10m he has invested in the last two months with him. Rumour had it that we were losing 1m, so how he could have spent 10m is beyond me. It is expected that a decision by the authorities will not be made until after Cellino's court case next week!!! Leeds are preparing to dip into the emergency loan market once again, this time to bring West Ham defender Jordan Spence to ER. The 23yo Londoner is predominantly a right back, but can play as a centre back. Why we would still be interested in spending money by bringing new players in is beyond me. The play offs are beyond us. We not not deserve to go up. I would like to find out why we would need another player when we already have Byram and Peltier? I would also like to find out why Warnock was dropped from Saturdays squad. Popey was saying it was a disciplinary matter??? What could it be?
Morning el, all Waiting with interest to see what comes out of the meeting today, though as we all suspect it probably won't be a decision! I can't see why we're looking to bring in further loanee's either. Surely there aren't people thinking we can still make top 6? I'd imagine if we are looking at Spence it would be with a view to play either him or Peltier as CB. Will be getting a match thread up around lunch today, I'll try not to make it too negative!
Morning all. Entirely agree with above sentiments and comments. We don't need anyone else at this stage of the season. Autos are too much of a stretch. Top 6 is highly unlikely. And unless Admin/-10 kick in, we ain't gong get relegated or be in a relegation dogfight. What is really worrying though is the time yet again it is taking for the FL to sort out agreeing our takeover. Anyone would think they've got something against us!! As if!!!!
Leeds managing director David Haigh has insisted there is "no chance" of the club going into administration. The likely delay has prompted talk of Cellino walking away and the club falling into administration, but Haigh has rubbished such rumours. He told the Yorkshire Post: "The club is in good hands. It has money and there is no chance of the club going into administration. None whatsoever. "I keep hearing these whispers, where people have put two and two together to make 550. We had a winding-up order recently, which caused fans to panic. "But the club is not in any kind of precarious financial position. Either now or in the future. It is not true and never has been. "As a director of a company, there is a test of solvency that you have to go through. Can the company meet its debts, as and when they fall? And yes, Leeds United can." Cellino earlier this week revealed his frustration at the situation, telling The Sun: "It has been a black hole and things cannot carry on like this. "I have to wait for the decision of the Football League before I put any more money in. "I want to help Leeds and get to work, but I cannot do any more until I am the owner."
, good morning to all from a sunny Bardsey and Im feeling much better today thank you doesn't make any sense about the loanee unless we are having him on a try before you buy basis for next season .Downside will we have a new manager in place by then I think so and he will have to sort out The Cameron Stewart situation because he clearly is not made for us
Bang on the money there 60. If we are going to be changing manager before/at start of next season, then we definitely shouldn't sign any loan to buy deals now. We haven't had the best record with them in recent history!!
Morning all. Read that earlier and given Haighs track record with bull****, that is confirmation we are broke and facing administration without Cellino. Just because there is cash in the bank, doesn't mean all our liabilities have been met. He is a despicable snake, nearly on a par with Bates and I for one, will never believe one word from his mouth. The loan thing is nonsense unless club afraid of not having sufficient points in the event of ten point deduction. Wouldn't surprise me if the idiots in charge aren't still deluded enough to believe were still in with a promotion shout. After all, they are a bunch of bankers
Morning 60, and a big welcome from a very Sunny Southampton. Not a cloud in the sky. Stewart goes missing more then a Malasian MH370 plane.
Well I'm cuddly and adorable Elland, I don't know about the rest of you. That language coming off the terraces in Tuesday. Disgraceful. My Mum would have taken a cane to the lot of you!!! Swearing in public like that. Some of you clearly haven't gone and wased your mouth with soap. Anyway, we look forward to an interesting fixture on Saturday. Anyone going for a remarkable turnaround and we get at least a draw??
Always look on the bright side of life or you wont live to my age that's been my motto .So on that note why would Cellino put in 10m without making double sure he will more than get it back so stop worrying it gets you nowhere other than an early grave .Its done me OK so far and its my tip of the day stay focused stay strong and stay positive you will outlive me!
Morning all Hard to say what is scaremongering and what is fact regarding our resources, one thing is for sure, GFH seem willing to take money off anyone, they really haven't a clue and they 'could' end up doing us more damage than Bates. Since Brian took over hasn't he brought in 9 new players? I believe 2 maybe three have gone out on loan so our wage bill has sky rocketed under him as he hasn't sold a single player while in charge?? Now after Zakliukas and Wootton were brought in he wants to bring another defender in on loan? I really cannot understand the logic, its not just the points gap, it is the dire performances that shout out we haven't a chance of promotion. Even if by some miracle we put 3-4 back to back wins together this team under Brian always has a smashing defeat in the locker waiting to be let out.
