Out of the FA Cup and Champions League, all in a week. A good time to play them, yes or no? Not to be underestimated of course
They were good last night, if it wasn't for some unchatacteristicly wayward finishing, they could have won.
If we try and contain them they'll play between our lines and tear us a new one. We need to play high pressure stuff and be really positive. I know we're at home but this is still one of those 'free hits' SB referred to at the start of the season, let's treat it like one and go for it.
Agree with this. They will REALLY be going all out for the 3 points on Saturday and we could end up being humped silly, when they're on form, they're easily one of the best club sides in Europe. We need to hit them early but even then, they're capable of knocking 4 in during the last 10 mins, it will be a real test for the entire duration of the game. We might get something out of it, we mostly likely won't imo but I hope we at least try and make them work for everything.
With most teams I'd agree, but I watched a game of theirs a month or so back and they looked like all 10 outfield players were trying to score, and they weren't doing a bad job of it. At times they seemed to be playing 5 or 6 up front, was pretty impressive tbh. Fingers crossed they'll be deflated or tired or just off their game, but somehow I doubt it.
Bigfatt is right its a free hit but it will be a full house again, the sun will be shining & how lucky will we be to be watching Hull City playing in the Premier League with a great manager in charge. He'll have a plan, lets just enjoy the occasion. Shrewsbury in the pissing rain in League 2 is long gone.
I forgot we were playing Hunter with all the excitement of earning ourselves a phoney wembley appearance Saturday I assume?
You can say that about a few of the top clubs - all of them have weaknesses but some of their strengths are incredible. The differences within the league are getting greater each season.
Very much so. 2 days to turn around and Aguero looks a big doubt for the weekend. Capt. Kompany said after the game that they gave there all against Barcelona and the tank is empty. Massive pressure on Man City now. Does Pellegrini makes changes or go again with tired legs ? Lescott or Demechillis are both accidents waiting to happen. It will be tough for Hull City but no tougher than it was back in August when we did so well. We shall be fresher and ready and I think a draw is well within our means. A win would not be as laughable as it would have been a few weeks ago when Man City were bagging goals for fun. IF Man City dont win against us and Chelsea win @ Aston Villa in the Live sky teatime game then Man City's 3 games in hand will mean alot less. Who Dares Wins - Who has the passion to go for it from the off ? twt as always. UTT
Not as good as Barceloma. Btw.... Barca had a stone wall penalty not given and a perfecly good Neymar goal ruled offside. 2-0 down at that point and who knows how many Barca would have got. For a while Man City rode there luck at the back but in the end and with some woeful finishing(Nasri being the worst) it all ended as it should have done.
The were lucky in the first half, but they were much the better team in the second until the goal and sending off killed the game.
Yes i agree to a point. But i thought that Barca were just coasting through the game by then. But that one just one mistake by Lescott and Messi is in....job done. The question is just what have Man City left in the tank and how many changes will Pellegrini make foir saturday ? I hope that Demechillis starts though. Knowing our luck Nasri will score if he gets than chance against us again.
