Gutted that Ozil is out and the ****ing injuries are starting to mount up again. Hopefully Gibbs can make it, because despite Vermaelen doing well in Munich, he gives us zero threat going forward. Would like to see Cazorla and not Rosicky in the AM position, he was excellent there last season, and with Ozil out, he deserves his chance to play through the middle, as his opportunities in that role has been limited.
As for Spurs, Adebayor is clearly their main threat and he is going to be up for it as usual against us, although that could easily see him doing something stupid.
Massive game as always. Fortunately the Spuds have been utter dog **** recently and have only been bailed out by a resurgent Adebayor. Their defence looks like it's full of holes and Donkey Dawson in particular is very weak. It's a shame we don't have Walcott available for this game as he would have murdered the spud defence, but I think even without Gibbs, Ramsey, Walcott and Ozil we still have enough quality to cause them problems. Also our defending has been pretty solid recently so if we can keep Adebayor quiet or force him into making a prick out of himself and getting sent off, then I don't really see them causing us too many issues.
Ramsey and Kallstrom could be involved in this one. Cazorla also likes playing against the Spuds and Ox is in top form.
If Arsenal even perform averagely, it should be good enough to get 1 or 3 points. Spurs are rubbish, even with Arsenal injuries, anything but 3 points for Wenger side would be a dissappointment.
Would be great to see Ramsey back, it will give us a real lift. Like SJW I'd like to see Cazorla play through the middle as that's his best position. Also would like to see Ox involved as he's earned a place in our starting eleven currently. He had the Bayern defenders and midfield running scared and the resorted to hacking him down to stop him. Can you imagine Ox running at Dawson ? I think we should just give him the ball and tell him to run at the Donkey.
One thing we have to be aware of is that playing Arsenal is the Spuds cup final day for them, so they usually raise their game against us. Their fans will be up for it and I think ****wood will try to get them playing an attacking game. The problem for them is that they play such a high line and their defenders are simply not quick enough to deal with pacey forwards. This is why I think we should have Ox and Cazorla in the team as both of them have the ability to skin that spud back line alive.
ox caz and rosicky running at them would be good. if ramsey available yes please. shame no theo to run at Dawson tho he could probably still beat him now even with injury. hope theo turns up to show the fans what the score is - just in case the scoreboard isn't working.
I hope Wenger doesn't start with some conservative gameplan. I want us to attack them from the first whistle.
I don't get why you find this so funny! You make the same joke every match thread! Your such an old man lol
Really unsure about this game, we haven't been great at WHL for a while, and that was with better CF's than what we're currently lumbered with. I'd go: Szczesny Sagna Mertesacker Koscielny Vermaelen Arteta Ramsey (If he's fit) AOC Rosicky Cazorla Podolski EDIT: Their CB's lack pace (expecially dawson), Poldi is quicker than Giroud, he should cause more problems.
Podolski hasn't done well when he's had odd appearances up top this season so I wouldn't start him there at whl. Giroud bagged two goals at the weekend so is an option but may be Sanogo will play if giroud is not 100% after bayern.
Shez Sagna Kos Mert Gibbs [if fit] or Vermalen Flamini Arteta OXO Podolski Cazorla Giroud then bring on Ramsey and/or Rosicky with 20 mins to go. maybe for OX if knackered. would like to see Pod play full game for once as he looked sharp last night
Podolski's been no worse than Giroud, and he'd be against Dawson, who moves at the speed of continental drift, so it shouldn't be that hard for his to open up some space to crack a shot.
