It dominated english football without those 2 midfielders so its highly likely that 2 top class centre mids would transform United.

    Fergie...........

Your squad is past it's prime, you need to strengthen all over the pitch, you're about to lose your historic first choice CB pairing, plus your left back. If Moyes stays I highly doubt RvP will still be there come next Sept either. Your wingers with the exception of the young lad are nothing more than average. You're in need of a massive overhaul this summer.

Again, we simply dont. Nowhere near.

An overhaul is a full team, 11 players. This doesnt happen,. not at any club,. ever.

We have a good base of players, De Gea, rafael, Jones, Evans, januzaj, Mata, Rooney, RvP. All first teamers and bar 1 all under 30. Personally I would add Nani in there as well as hes been injured all season so its hard to see what the plan is for him.

Beyond that the squad is fine. It needs no work on it at all. The first 11 needs a few additions, primarily in midfield as its been a long standing issue.

Seriously tobes, if we add 2 of Kroos, Vidal, Gundogan or Carvalho do you think we would struggle as much as we do?

Does anyone actually realise why we have struggled? trying to play 442 with our midfield. Fergie could do it because he pulled the striker deep so the 2 became a 3 more often than not. Moyes allows Rooney to remain high up the pitch so our 2 slow CM ( changes if Jones plays here ) struggle to maintain the opposition and get over run. Its happened time and time again this season.

I want 4 signings over the next 2 windows. 2 Center midfielder in the summer and then a LB and CB in the January window. A striker if RvP leaves but I think he might stay. Wheres he going to go?

Also can I point out that Fergie didnt take training and delegated almost all aspects of his job in later years. He wasnt this all powerful, do it all leader like some make out. His biggest attribute was his man management. Moyes biggest issue is that hes trying to do it all himself.

So no it wasnt all down to fergie, no the squad isnt average and no we dont need an overhaul.

It also really annoys me how the club are on a media mission to slag off the very players who have brought the recent success to the club. Ex players using the same nonsense quotes about how the players are to blame and not Moyes or anyone else. Its pathetic and its bullshit. No wonder the players have no confidence. Imagine being so successful and everyone calls you ****, useless and on the verge of being booted out of the club. Cant imagine it does much good. Some might thrive, others might get pissed off with it all.

You mean like Bayern, Barcelona and Real Madrid in the past all added a few players before hitting the top again ( from the youth or transfer market )?

Or how United adding Vidic and Evra transformed us from also rans behind Chelsea to the dominant force in english football.....again....

I think you get my point.... unless you are think <ok>

I disagree on that one. Hes twice the player Young or Valencia are and hes exactly what people are raving about januzaj over. A fast, skillful winger who can cut inside, scores goals, creates goals and the lot. Hes a player I like as is obvious on here over the years.

Hes ****ing annoying though, both that hes injured and often a little stupid.

Chelsea hardly have a world beater team just a bunch of work horses apart from Hazard and maybe Oscar.

It doesn't matter who you bloody sign, get it? Moyes is a chump and you will never be a force again whilst you still have him. Long may he continue to reign!

Maybe. I cant predict the future but I can make educated guesses.

You seem to just be making normal guesses...

He got us ahead of you lot for the last 2 years, despite having a budget of 2 packets of Quavers and a Curly Wurly, so 'chump' is a tad strong.

And the best manager in the world. Fergie showed you didn't need the best squad to do well just last year.

Don't call me 'think' you think nunt'. ;)

Can't remember Barca or Bayern or Real ever scrapping it out for Europa league. You've fallen a lot further than they have in recent memory.

How many of your players would get near any of those teams, 2 or 3 tops. The difference is how far you are away, without even looking at the manager.

UIR - I don't think 2 central midfield players will take you from where you are today, back to the pinnacle. As imo your squad isn't as strong as you suggest. I think you need at least 4 or 5 this summer.

As for RvP, he'd have plenty of options should he become available, the noises coming from his camp aren't great.

Fergie's influence went way beyond the training pitch, his aura alone struck fear into visiting teams, managers and officials.....

an overhaul can be a new spine ignoring the keeper which is fine man utd need a new cb's and cm's and the cf/number 10 situation is already changing and will do more is rvp leaves

Im not questioning his influence. Just what he actually did. Some think he did it all, single handedly. some actually believe he played the matches as well. So good he was in 11 places at once. Its as if we never had any players.

The squad really isnt as bad as people make out. The reason people think its poor is because they see some comedy line up like this:

    ------------De gea
    --Smalling Ferdinand Vidic Evra
    valencia-Cleverley-Carrick-Young
    -----------Welbeck
    ------------Rooney

Of course it looks poor if you base it on that. Theres 6 players who shouldnt be here next season. 3 through age and 3 because they are just awful players.

    However

    -------------De Gea
    rafael - Jones - Evans - Evra
    ------Fellaini - Carrick
    --Mata ----Rooney---januzaj
    ------------RVP

Huge, huge difference in quality. Still have players like Kagawa and Nani to come in, Welbeck would have a roll in such a side. Take RvP and Januzaj out for kagawa and Nani and you push Rooney up top with Mata behind. Kagawa and Nani outwide ( both are proven to be better in attack and defence that Young and Valencia ).

Now take the second side and add a Kroos and Vidal ( or any combination of the 4 I mentioned earlier, I know theres no guarantees ). Add those 2 players in to that squad for Fellaini and Carrick. How does that look? Pretty ****ing good to me.

The defence would be young but with many years of experience behind them. Its there chance to step up now but so far they havent had much time together. I have no doubt that if they were played week in week out then they would be excellent. Rafael is already one of the best RB's around, Jones is full of potential and has shown hes a very capable CB. Evans has proven his worth. Evra will probably be replaced.

So yeh, 2 midfielders transform United.
