Cheltenham day 2 racing daily thread

Right I'm ready for today's instalment of top racing... Hard day today but I'm ever hopeful...

Tuna, tomato and onion butty, pack of cheese and onion crisps, the ridged variety and a cuppa tea... Oh, and a little custard tart...

 

Faugheen beat yesterdays Supreme Novices second by 22 lengths and was eased down at that...looks good to me even just on that !

Really keen on Hinterland in the champion chase. It's a poor race and I'm convinced sire de grugy won't win. Arvika isn't winning anything around Cheltenham. Can't back captain Conan after only 1 run all season. Baily Green isn't good enough, neither is Kid Cassidy. Sizing Europe doesn't look the same horse anymore, Somersby isn't winning a champion hurdle and neither is wishfull thinking. That leaves Module and Special Tiara who I don't think are good enough either.
Hinterland has solid grade 1 form in the book and has won at Cheltenham and will love the ground. Think he has been massively overlooked in this and I think he will definitely be top 3 with the danger being Captain Conan

 

Ok, is this Faugheen all he is cracked up to be... Well I hope so as I've got money on him...!!!

Lovely performance and gamble landed.

Red Sherlock went off at 7/2 and no surprise Rathvinden turned the form around with him..another Bismarck sunk for me..4 in a row..that kept the fav odds against I suppose.
