And I'm sure clubs aren't exactly knocking down our door in search of Perchy...it's been like a week. Even if Perch doings were going on, it's not as if they'd be making headlines anyway

Victor Wanyama? Natural DM, young, wouldn't cost that MUCH & would be on relativly cheap wages I'll imagine. Been linked to him a couple of times aswell.

We could ship him off to Middlesbrough <whistle>

Exactly! There are players out there who can cover Tiote and we could possibly sign them for free. We have to look at all areas and have to evaluate if they will be weak spots next season. Tiote gets a lot of cards so he misses a few games a season in which we'll need cover. We're lucky his godly powers keep him from injury or we'd be boned! Put some thought behind it <ok>

Gosling can cover Tiote and you can also play Colocinni in there, barton if he stays can do a job there also.

Moreover there is not a football rule that says you NEED to have a defensive midfielder in every line up, we could just play a flat 4 accross midfield with two ball playing box to box midfielders who retain possesion and track back when we dont have the ball.

The fact Tiote is a great tackler and also a great passer is the reason hes always in the team not just because we need a token defensive mid.

Having a token defensive mid is a very good idea however, and the way the teams looking it seems very likely we're going to need one.

Perch can't leave! I'm thinking of getting him on my shirt for next year! Would love it if he had an absolute blinder next season! <diva>

Didnt Cabaye play DM last season for Lille anyway? the last thing we need is more central midfielders, we have enough that can do the job there. I'd totally class Gosling as a DM anyway
