God, ROTO, you do work hard, the best of luck with your selections (Timeform would be foolish not to consider you for a decent job!).
Also. best of luck Nass with your placepot, it should be a goodun, as you said.

Morning fellow punters, good to be back around these shores after a lengthy absence, not a lot had changed. Whilst yesterday was not a great day for me at Cheltenham it didn't go unnoticed that Paddy Brennan went to Sedgfield for four rides, thankfully 3 from 4 replaced my losses at Cheltenham, finishing with a nice 10/1 in the lucky last. Hopefully today will see a better return at Cheltenham:

1.30 Fennel Bay 25/1 EW
2.05 Sam Winner 10/1 EW
2.40 Clondaw Kaempher 12/1 EW
3.20 Captain Conan 5/1 NB
4.00 Diamond Harry 25/1 EW
4.40 Violet Dancer 16/1 EW
5.15 Vigil 8/1 EW NAP

Good luck to one and all, enjoy the trip

Dell Arca looks interesting in the Cral Cup - 3 places and 2 wins in 6 runs, has won at the course and whilst i despise the yard it has to be said they're on form at the moment.

Morning all.

Sorry for my part in yesterday's nonsense. I should just rise above that rubbish but hard to leave it alone when you're getting personal attacks for no reason.

Maybe direct messages would be the way to conduct those conversations in future.

with the absence of Royal Boy the 1.30 for me becomes a duel between FAUGHEEN and RED SHERLOCK. Faugheen is very short now so the values lies with the latter.

in the 2.05 I have always liked SMAD PLACE - and will be one of my main bets of the week. It is a very competitive race though and the drying ground will suit BALLYCASEY.

in the Coral Cup I have selected the possibly progressive DELL A'RCA and if he can defy top weight one of the most interesting runners this week is DUNGUIB.

I refuse to be put off SIRE DE GRUGY as he has done nothing wrong this season. I have more concerns about th ground for him than his poor Cheltenham record. SOMERSBY and HINTERLAND could be good each way value.

BALTHAZAR KING can I think bounce back to regain his Cross Country crown.

Onto racing and it looks like Faugheen is going to be the first Irish gamble of the festival. The ground is filling me with confidence because I just don't see Red Sherlock acting on it. Rathvinden might be okay. Royal Boy is out. Lieutenant Colonel might get involved. This doesn't look a strong race. I'm going to be very disappointed if the Mullins hotpot gets beat.

Good morning chaps, and what a morning... The sun is shining, the birds are whistling and we have another top days racing from HQ... In saying that I think todays racing is the hardest to pick from the 4 days racing from HQ this week...

Anyway off to have another gander at the cards just to confirm that I will be getting my darts out once again...<cheers>

After hitting 2 winners and a 3rd in my L15 yesterday today will be a return to normality and I should be greateful if I hit one...!!! Anyway, for todays L15 and other bets...

2.05 - Many Clouds, 16/1...
2.40 - Meister Eckhart, 18/1...
4.40 - Goodwood Mirage, 10/1...
5.15 - Our Kaempfer, 25/1...

Ive got singles and doubles on the following... Faughen, 5/2 + Red Sherlock, 11/2 with Sire De Grugy, 7/2...

I havnt had a bet on the X-Country yet but Star Neuville, Sizing Australia and Duke Of Lucca are the 3 ive picked in the Telegraph Comp...

Lets hope for another great days action today as I think its a tough one for us punters today...<cheers>

Was more than a bit down posting these yesterday, but slept on it and added a few more!

Faugheen and Ballyalton in the opener - always had Faugheen but added Ballyalton when trainer Ian Williams came on here and told me to! Thanks Ian W <ok>

ROTO's persuasion re the chances of Son of Flicka meant I had to add him to Dell Arca in the Coral. Thanks ROTO <ok>

And finally, Katgary 10-1 added to Dawalan in the FW after hearing Nichols on the Morning Line. Thanks fatty <ok>

Smad Place, Faugheen, Balthazar King patent.

Also, very intrigued by Dunguib in the Coral Cup. Another in the Coral Cup who I think could run well above it's price is Edgardo Sol. Nicholls' horses haven't been in great fettle on the first day, which puts me off a bit, but this horse tends to come alive in the spring and has relatively decent course form. Returning back to a suitable distance after being raced over too far last time (3 miles). Worth an each way squeak at a massive 50/1.

Today looks more difficult than yesterday to me ... especially in the Coral cup where only 2 favourites have prevailed in the history of the race !
I'm expecting some surprise results today and re Faugheen you only have to cast your minds back to Pont alexandre who was allegedly unbeatable..Not one i shall be betting on and Im restricting my bets to 3 races:-

2.05pm Don Cossack 14/1
2.40pm Yesyoucan 50/1
3.20pm Module 25/1 ..

All each way.. Good luck all
