I dunno Miggs... When he's on top of his game, he's a bloody good driver. He lacks the ability to sustain it though. If he can gain that, he could have the upper hand. That and a bit more luck.

If the mercedes is the class of the field I hope you're right for the sake of the spectacle, the last thing people want is another team with a dominant car and only one good driver.

On a side note, I went for Button, I think the McLaren maybe the best car, but if it isn't I also have the Mercedes engined driver I think will be the most likely to look after his car and finish.

Now watch him go bang on the grid.

Yeah... Gotta hope for some racing. The prospect of a spread out field isn't something I relish. Hopefully it won't be as bad as all that though.

Hamilton is more consistent than Rosberg in Qualifying performances, but Rosberg is like Vettel in learning from his mistakes and correcting them year after year so a better Rosberg should surface this year who wont be dropping the ball so often like he did last season.

Reasons for me saying that is because back in 2011 he was always very weak on lap 1, he was worse than Webber on starts and always went backwards. Now into 2013 his starts are pretty bloody good now, even better than Hamilton's IMO as he has nailed Vettel a few times into turn 1. Rosberg is a developer driver and his best will be around when he becomes a veteran.

I think in a straight fight over a season the smart money would be on Lewis, however with reliabilty and the potential of having to conserve a car whilst potentially fighting with the a few other drivers it might not come down to who is the quickest. We were concerned with the last couple of years (since the ban of refueling really) that looking after the car took precident over being the quickest but I think we are in a whole different state of affairs now. Even the likes of Vettel on top form (very fast in quali and the initial race laps but also very able in racing the car over the distance) would struggle to dominate - if given the right equipment. For me there is too many variables, reliability, power, transmission, tyres, fuel consumption, new areo, chassis development - oh and that squishy bit in the middle......the driver!

Last season Rosberg put in a good showing, a very good showing.

Speed wise they seemed much the same, and pretty well matched in quali as well. The biggest difference in my mind is in traffic. Hamilton seemed much better at moving through traffic whilst Rosberg was far better at looking after tyres through traffic. If they are race at the front this season then that won't really matter though <laugh>

#F1 Force India to run new light-weight chassis in Melbourne - losing around 10kg. VJM07 should get well under the weight limit now.

Like the way Mercedes has developed a steering wheel similar shape to the one Lewis used at Mclaren ;)
