Nice. With a drop of red?

Quite partial to meat balls.. We had that the other week. Pork and beef mixed together. Were lovely.

  2. I don't like wine and the mrs won't drink at all because she's breast feeding the nipper so no.

she is also fussy with meats and will only have the beef ones. I like to mix them up too, quite like the lamb.

    It does? All wine?

That's like me saying all lager tastes like piss. Which it does of course.

Interestingly (or not) I've got meatballs for dinner, only turkey. With pasta.

I would have had them for tea last night but I was out playing team squash, after which we were served pasta Bolognese. Tonight for tea I am having spaghetti Bolognese.

So, lot's of Bolognese/tomato/pasta/meatball variants over the last day or so.

    <ok>

I think he has only tried the cheap wine for £2 that say SPANISH WINE on the label etc.

I will admit not all wine is good. some are paticularly bad. Though wine sets off a good meal. couldn't imagine drinking lager or ale with a nice meal. That said there are food stuffs which go well with beer.

    Definitely.

You wouldn't drink red wine with chicken curry red on Koh San road.

Oh no, for that there is only Singha or Chang.

Ale goes well with a pie or a ploughman's.

  8. Just don't like wine. I don't like spirits, bitter, ale, etc either, hence me rarely venturing away from lager.

Just had a extra large jumbo ham, cheese, salad and onion cob (yes, cob!) with a Cornish Pasty on the side :)

  10. Nope. Dead on 13 stone :)

I play football three times a week and hardly ever post the healthier dinners I have such as the meatballs one above.

Had moule frites last night. Marvelous. Though I think I used too much wine in the sauce with the mussels.

Probably, I 'retired' at 34 and piled it on afterwards. It's a batard to get back off an all.

  16. I have no intention of retiring yet but my knees and ankles are not so sure <laugh>

Going out tonight to The Galley bistro, overlooking the sea.

They have a standard menu - but the specials board varies, and is often spectacular. I do like the kangaroo dish, also the Monkfish is so nice <ok>
