If you call me Ginge again I am going to take all your highlighters off you tomorrow. Two things that never happen are taking place tomorrow. 1) I am going to the Festival 2) I am going to have a few drinks! 11;52 my geeky friend
Can anyone remember the horse Willie Carson went clear on in the final Furlong , eased it to nearly a walk , hr looked over his right shoulder didn't look over his left got caught on line , I should remember if the Scottish Tw..t. did me for £3850 in a accumulator !!! Wasn't a happy chappy lol
Evening all!! I'm away for a few months and everyone turning on each other - I thought it was just me, BB and stick who used to p**s each other off Anyhow, hope everyone is well. Just got in from the first day which could have gone better. Had Vautour and Quevega but drew a blank in the others - went large on HF and no excuses, he was beaten fair and square by 3 class horses who will hopefully be battling out the finish again next year. I think it's fair to say the unfortunate and tragic fall of Our Connor didn't help TNO. Such a shame to see any beast - no matter how talented - have their life cut short in these circumstances. I feel terrible for the horse and connections but let's keep things in perspective lads. I had a quick look through the posts and I don't understand how you think people are taking joy out of the Our Connor incident MOG? Lots of people posted their condolences and most on here are a class act and wouldn't dream about taking pleasure in something so tragic. Henrietta Knight (as mad as she is!!) summed it up when Best Mate died "...in this sport there are livestock and deadstock..." I think from that she meant that we have to move on, no matter how bad the situation is. Right, I shall be there tomorrow once again and the ones to avoid are... Faugheen, Don Cossack and Balthazar King. Other than that I have no other specific fancies so someone give me a clue Edit: Forgot about Dell Arca and Captain Conan!! Few too many sorry!!
Haha. Ginge, stop whining, you will love the festival and at 4.70 a pint, you can moan all afternoon about the price of beer.
Captain Conan. Champion Chaser. That shouldn't be right should it? Thing is I can't see a more likely winner...
never tried to WUM you in my life m8 so dont know what your on about there, the only people ive tried to "wum" on here is bob and stick despite our differences, i showed bob plenty of mercy on numerous occasions but thats usually the way I am, i might go on about treve and that arc at times but not much else think thats what annoyed me today, if the shoe was on the other foot i would have been the first to admit i got hurricane fly badly wrong today and the new one wasnt good enough, but i didnt see many holding their hands up today about getting the new one wrong so even if I have been a ****, my only failure is taking the bait
Move on MOG. Tomorrow's another day Are you still sweet on the Don? I've been a fan but can't have him on that ground, and have a sneaky feeling he mightn't be suited to the track but that's purely a hunch which could be totally out.
You're failures are numerous including saying you'll beat me, Oddy and Badger up and that we are complete see you next Tuesdays because we congratulated Quevega on her win. I didn't say anything about TNO because he didn't win. Change his jockey and he'd have had a better chance of winning. I'm away watching cricket now. You can continue to argue but it's to yourself until the morning. Drever - good to see you about.
Nothing to move on from m8, just a standard day punting, Champagne Fever and The New One two jailcases beat, nothing out of the ordinary. Quevega beating **** mares again seemingly overwriting what happened to Our Conor was out of the ordinary.
I don't think anyone was 'overwriting' what happened to Our Connor MOG. In regards to people being happy for Quevega, despite the tragedy that had just unfolded, we witnessed history today which may never be repeated in our lifetime (especially Stick as he's an old c**t!!) Regardless of what she beat today, this was the SIXTH successive festival she has run and won at. Quite a feat. You may have lost heavy today, but tomorrow is another day, let's just move on.
I am good thanks pal. You've really missed out these last few months, I bought a really slow horse that you could have really ripped me about ;-)
Quixall Crossett II?! Just yanking you, who do you have it with and what is it called? Bet it's a great experience on race days? How has it done for you?
