    Joe - let it go.

The sad events of today have no bearing on personal opinions about other forumites.

As others have said, it is tragic, but it's racing.

Right, I can't PM everyone about all the posts I've had to remove. Suffice to say now that I have had to delete a few. Some may be perfectly valid but if they refer to the deleted posts they too have been removed.

It's been an emotional day and we now just need to calm down and remember that 99% of the time we all get on as one big happy family. So don't let the 1% (maybe less) ruin a week that we have all been looking forward to with such excitement.

I know from personal experience how distressing it is to lose a much loved horse. There is something special about them. But at the end of the day, as I have found, life must go on.

Tomorrow is another day. That doesn't mean we have forgotten the loss of a wonderful horse.

Yep - and Cheltenham..... I never saw the Champion hurdle and was going to come on here ranting and raving about MTOY getting beaten by a neck. Quite relieved I didn't now <laugh>

That has to be one of the unluckiest days I have ever had at the Festival. THE NEW ONE and PENDRA were there to make the week for me and both should really have won. That's racing, they say it equals itself out eventually.
Gutted for OUR CONNOR as he was top class and its a very sad day in that respect. Again that's racing, it happens all too often!

Whats ****ing my brain just now is the fact that im the only **** on here who said Our Conor had no ****ing chance, just like Hurricane Fly had no chance, Our Conor falls and and takes TNO out the race, still doesnt make the 3.

And ****s who actually considered The Fly have the brass neck to reply to me just now. This thread should be dominated by one thing, whether its good for racing or not. Ive already said to Ron, theres slim chance of me getting involved again on here after today but ill stand by my offer to Stick, who I must add, has shown more class than most with his silence, even though his Pendra got well beat.

You could take a leaf out of one of the few good judges on this forums book.

No one was more strong on Our Conor not winning than me, yet im the one who has to take **** for paying due respects to the animal. Good luck with the numerous Fly mugs who couldnt split Treve from Denny Craine. Who in full seriousness, backed Ruler Of The World in a ****ing Arc.

Have a good rest of the festival lads, cos im done posting on here.

Was in work all day and seems like I missed a lot of stuff on here. Probably best not to scroll back through it all.

Absolute tragedy that Our Conor lost his life today. Such a terrible shame for such a promising racehorse and I have huge sympathy with connections who are clearly feeling worse than any of us.

    Really puts everything into perspective.

    Joe.

You are an excellent judge on horse racing and I doubt anyone would disagree. You put your neck on the block, are right more times than you are wrong, and are man enough to hold up your hands when you are wrong. The forum needs characters like you. However, although your feelings about the loss of Our Connor are understandable, outbursts against other members of the forum isn't doing anyone any good. Everyone on here is upset about the sad loss and, judging by the comments on here, that doesn't even need saying.

I don't want you to leave the forum and I'm sure you would be missed if you did. Please calm down, sleep on it and be back tomorrow. We all have off days and I'm sure we will all be happy to put today behind us and carry on as we were before the tragic incident today.

MOG you've clearly lost a huge amount on the supposed good thing The New One. Unlucky darts lad. But try and act with some dignity. Slagging of backers of other horses, the way you have, just makes you look very classless <ok>

I remember you saying Beefy it was all about the Fly... same as BostonBob who was saying the fly was streets ahead.! The Fly was not good enough.. I was surprised no one on the forum was bullish about the Tent. He almost did it and on watching the race I am wondering why McCoy tries to go up the inside!

But anyway.. the Champion Hurdle thread received so many comments and opinions from so many people yet no one really talked up Jezki which is kind of funny when you think about it!

I don't think that's what I said Captain. The Fly is rated 173. Nothing else was. I think what I said was that if The Fly produced his mark he's ahead of the rest. He didn't produce his mark today. Probably never will again.

Not me mate. Think Wooly might have said that a few times. I said he was a 10 year old up against it, so it proved. Still it's 2 Champions more than the Tent <ok>

Hope you'd a good day mate, had a great day myself. Hope you were on Vautour, I did say it was all about him a good while back yet all I heard about was Irving!
