Do you notice how the questions all go one way? How can anyone possibly have all the answers. tbh I very rarely let it trouble me all I know is we will all get to find out, so live your life the best you can there's nothing more you can do. Blaming someone who you don't even believe exists though, is bizarre.

You seem very sure about how the universe and afterlife work.

But if it makes you feel any less puzzled The Pope has written: “The question for those who do not believe in God is to follow their own conscience. Sin, even for a non-believer, is when one goes against one’s conscience. To listen and to follow your conscience means that you understand the difference between good and evil.” He said that the “mercy of God has no limits” and encompassed even non-believers.

Yet another random non-point. Who is blaming god?

Maybe I should clarify my previous post when I said Jews/atheists/homosexuals are in trouble with god. Of course they are not really. God doesn't exist. That was just sarcasm to highlight the perverse morality of religious people.

The Catholic Church also told children that reporting they were raped would mean they burn in Hell. The Pope has said that condoms are worse than AIDS.

I don't expect you to have all the answers but anyone who professes to being a Christian should surely be able to answer the whole who goes to heaven who goes to hell question?

I once knew a Christian girl who would burst into tears at the mention of her grandfather because he wasn't Christian and had died and she was certain he was burning in hell, (she had this view after having spoken to the vicar).

It's also why I Asked your particular view rather than a general Christian view as I find the majority of people work out there own answers and fill in the gaps themselves.

As for your last lines, the point is though living your life the best you can according to Christianity results in hellfire unless you also become Christian. For me that defies all logic and if there is a god he is intelligent enough to follow logic. It makes no sense whatsoever to give freedom of choice, combined with no evidence and the end result of hell if you don't believe. And no-one has ever given me a good answer to this question (which is why I asked as I thought u had done quite well answering some other questions).

And organised religion is to blame for all sorts of terrible things throughout history, it's not a matter of opinion it's fact. But there is a difference between faith/belief and religion.

And there it is, folks - god is an artifact of one's conscience.

"But the guy who accepts Jesus into his heart but murdered and raped his way through life gets eternal bliss.

If that was how a god was judging us he's a right ****. "

That to me sounds like "ok we realise that bit of the bible made no sense and puts people off so to let's just go with god not believing that biblical quote because otherwise people think he's a right ****" :p

Note the line "if that was how a god" thought this line showed I was talking hypothetically.

I don't think the Catholic Church has - I think some evil Catholic individuals may have, that's on them not the Church. If you're evil, you're evil, whatever faith or lack of it you have.

Exactly, if they describe a god or Jesus that are vile creatures, calling them ****s doesn't mean they're real it's just a judgement of their fictitious characters.

It was offered in a light hearted way. Is there any point in me continuing this conversation, I'm not the resident defender of the faith ...

It was, and remains, official church doctrine. And the Pope still refuses to extradite rapists since they're officially forgiven in their eyes once they have confessed.

For goodness sake I meant evil actions, how can I possibly know the anonymous individuals whose actions I'm referring to.

Ah ok, thought it was indication of some belief in people being inherently evil or good. Since you had implied the murderedi n the previous example was evil I had continued the train of thought. Totally different discussion, so don't mind me :p
