I still think he's got away very lightly. It should have been a 10 match stadium ban, not half and half, which is pathetic. He's been involved previously with inappropriate touch line behaviour. A sterner punishment would have sent out a clear message to Pardew that his behaviour will not be accepted. If he'd had a 10 match stadium ban, perhaps he could have used his spare time attending an anger management class. Pathetic from the FA.
It was impossible for him to get a 10 game ban. If he had then it'd have shown that that the FA feel a head butt and racial abuse are on a par, which they clearly aren't.
This is all irrelevant. The fact that you think that was even a headbutt goes to show how soft England has become. Here in the states, hockey player fight every single game, even the coaches fight sometimes. No one gets sacked. Christ Pardew barely touched him, if it wasn't for the media he'd have a 1 game touchline ban.
Newcastle utd should make sure that the £100,000k club fine goes to a local charity and not just stay in Ashley;s wallet. The £60k FA fine will just go into that bottomless pit of FA over spending. Again it should go to a charity up in Newcastle.
The intention was there. It was an over reaction on his part. He admitted it, he has has been punished. The way the USA justice system works is perhaps not the best thing to be comparing ours with.
In your mind perhaps. I think it means sticks and stones, but I can't say I'm too fussed. If you'd rather be hit than called names, I reckon you'll find a few clubs with ladies that will oblige for a fee.
Have a word with yourself. Racial abuse is a much, much worse than physical abuse. Although I sense there's little point in discussing it with someone that is as out of touch on the subject as you appear to be.
Is racial abuse worse than other abuse? Seems a bit racist on your part to me, but then unlike you, I'm a talker, not a fighter.
Seems obvious to me, he got a two match ban for the near headbutt, an additional one match ban for having previous and a four match ban for being an utter **** when he was Charlton manager. Strikes me as perfectly fair.
To assume I'm a "fighter" is very presumptuous of you. In relation to football racial abuse is worse than physical, as I said earlier in this thread what happens on a football pitch should be policed differently to real life situations. Hence why there was no way Pardew would get a ten game ban.
