3 match stadium ban followed by 4 match touch line ban

    it's another FA cop out

ban is half way between what it should of been and what the media have been screaming for

Not as bad as it could have been. I was thinking it'd be anywhere from 5-10 games so for it to be seven games and only three being stadium bans I think it's fair-ish.

Hopefully it's lesson learnt for Pardew and time to move on IMO. We can still have a cracking little end to the season.

Cop out by FA considering Pardew's previous behaviour. For me stadium ban for all 7 matches.

Don't think it'll have too much of an adverse affect.

    Can't see that.

As a first offence it would be probably a 3 - 5 match touchline ban. Given his previous it had to be more stringent than that. Seems pretty sensible to me.

Not that bad for Pards - I thought he would get banned for the rest of the season.

£60k fine as well, home matches they could run a tv feed and phone line across to the Strawberry for him, have to be careful he doesn't get barred.

Could have been worse. A little over the top but we move on.

Despite comments to the contrary, pretty bad news in my opinion. You need your manager on the sidelines and Pards has done a good job. I can name plenty of games where he has provoked a positive response. By and large though, a lot of that is down to the mentality of the players you have. They are on the pitch. When we are 2-0 up in games and then come out sloppy, I doubt very much Pards has said much more than "same again lads". As usual I think the players just get a free ride and its easier to kick the Pardew cat. They have worked all week on a game plan, it then works, they then fail to replicate it.

Not lenient at all. Merely a sop to media hysteria.
