  1. That bit is what I was getting at really. As you said, Man Utd and the English media built them up to be the best thing since sliced bread, financial charts matched this suggestion too. If that's the case, then why have they not dominated a period in Europe like we did? Like Barca have done recently? Like Milan did?

  3. You think you're going to win the league this year then? <laugh>

    PS...you won it in 2012/13 and were runners-up in 2011/12 <ok>

I think our 3 finals in 4 years can be considered a period of dominating europe. Sure we lost twice to barcelona but they were something else.

We were the only side in world football keeping up with Barcelona, we'd be on 5 if not for their greatest ever generation ( possibly the greatest ever ).

Plus nobody dominates europe like back in the 70's and 80's now. Nobody.

  5. It was a veryg ood time for you guys (bar the losses) but Barcelona dominated that period, you can't have two sides dominating Europe at the same time.

    Barca just did it.

****s, if they hadnt decided to have their best ever generation, United would have been even more successful. Oh well, not complaining, at a time when barcelona were as good as it gets, United still remained one of the best around.

  8. Very true and we are blessed to have seen such a great Barca team.

You could apply the same logic to quite a few English sides in the 70s & 80s. They just happened to up against a very good Liverpool side and only one team could compete in Europe's finest competition.

oh dear. lucky for utd there are actually only 7 decent sizes in the prem now and the rest are tosh. thats the only reason 10th is not where they are.

i mean ok they won a vital top 4 game last weekend v west brom and so must be getting 4th now but still...

#set up for utd game perfectly.

if we lose i won't even care cos i'm on record about winning games v the tosh and getting 4th that way.

Compared to your original roadmap we dropped 2 points against West Brom, but you only had us aiming for 76 points and we're still averaging towards 77 even if we lose against Man Utd.

Since your prediction we've also seen Arsenal, Spurs and Everton stumble a bit while Man Utd have still shown no consistent improvement.

Pardew only banned for 7 games <laugh>

FA takes the opposite opinion of everyone else in football yet again, they're the ****ing Tobes of governance <laugh>

  18. Why the word "only"? I think seven games is harsh!

Suarez got 10 games for 2 bites in 3 years (1 not even in this country)

Pardew got 7 games for his 4th touchline incident in 6 months or something

  20. Its his first "assault", the others were handbags.

When I saw its harsh, I mean in relation to other bans. Suarez's bans were harsh in comparison too. In reality, I think majority of bans should be longer. Need to be a deterant and the only way will be if players/managers don't want the associated punishment.
