    A simple question.

Yes we have games in hand, and it's still close, but the we have seen the good and the bad in a week.

So, do we have enough to do it, and stay up?

I have a bad feeling about this. ****

    So will we do it?

Yes, we will stay up and next season, Gus will buy his own players and we will finish in a comfortable mid table position with no threat of relegation.

I think we will stay up but gus has to sort out the home form. We have tough away fixtures and cant expect too many points away from home. Our home form has been dire and we have struggled against the teams around us. We need the full swuad busting a gut to show they deserve to be in this league (even though some of them dont)

It's gonna go to the wire. We are in the same position as Wigan last year with all those games in hand. It was too much for Wigan, though they almost did it, and us! <doh>

I've looked at the fixtures of other teams like Crystal Palace and Norwich in particular. Horrendous. Norwich, with 9 games left play 4 of last years top 5 in their last 4 or 5 games and their other home games are toughies. So are Palaces.

However our games in hand are against Man City, Liverpool and West Brom, so on paper there are arent many points there.

It all depends which team turns out each week for us. Based on the form we've shown since Gus took over, we've got
some very winnable games. But they HAVE to be won. Draws wont do.

I just hope that 3 losses in a row havent damaged confidence in any way and we can get back to the form we've shown up to the Arsenal game.

The fact we all know it's going to be tough and close is a good omen. There's fans claiming safety for their clubs and they're still very much in the relegation mix.

Fact is that for the bad we saw, was a poor team, the presents of Ki always brings a better performance as his composure is infectious. Can we stay up? The next 4 games will be extremely telling. Our safety depends on keeping the likes of Ki, AJ, Wes and Borini fit. Big thank you to PDC for his pre season program because I can't remember a season we've faired so well with injuries. Infact we've suffered mass injury problems since Roy Keane was at the club.

Still leaning towards safety with our home games against the teams around us. Vital now though. Anything from the away games (City, Liverpool, Tottenham, Utd, Chelsea) a massive bonus.

Yes starting against palace, could have a very different outlook after the weekend though, results have been kind while we've been in the cups, must get 3 points on sat

All great clubs, no matter the sport, have one thing in common, on field leadership. That man or men who refuse to accept defeat. Management can only set the table, in the end it's down to the players. Sadly, that is what I believe has been missing all year for Sunderland. Who is the man who will not accept relegation and drag his teammates with him? We've been searching all year for him.

Come on Wes Brown, I think you're that man. Refuse to lose. Take everyone with you.

Unfortunately my head says down basically because of Norwich, Villa and Hull we are struggling to beat the teams around us at home and a struggling 1-0 win at home to Stoke is all we have, these 3 games will determine where we end up

    Palace
    Norwich
