Well done Vatour backers, disappointed that Wicklow Brave was eased down out of the places, but can't crab the winner <ok>

Nice start to the day. And a £50 free bet for the privilege. Good old Paddy Power.

    VALDEZ up next.

Have wagered at big odds on WESTERN WARHORSE. Seriously, as long as he behaves at the start (that is NOT a given <laugh>) watch this thing jump.

I'm strangely worried by Granduoet and after the abuse I've give him...<laugh>

    Trifolium ante-post 7/1
CF & Quevega double around 8s

    Let's do this thing.

Champagne Fever for me at all the prices from 14/1 down. Not particularly large sums but decent pay out if it wins

A bit of speculative information. From a betting thread on a football forum I use. The poster was told by somebody in the game that Vautour wasn't getting beat. The same person has told him that there is absolutely no soft in the ground and that it's on the fast side of good. Also, unconfirmed rumours that there is ringworm rife in the Nicholls yard and that his horses should be avoided at all costs.

Makes Irving's run add up, but obviously it's from an unconfirmed source and the info could be anything.

Haven't done Trifolium as I said I would in the preview. Ground against it now.

Trifolium's price now is truly ridiculous IMO though.

Trifolium all the way for me <ok>

I don't have a good record supporting previous festival winners, which is my rationale for not liking Champagne Fever, Grandoet, Ted Veale or ROR!
