Im loathe to start another thread but wasnt sure where to sit it. Quick question - do we have replays for semis or is it straight to ET and pens? I cant remember. I've got an early feeling Pens could come into this.
Thought so, but it's a bit weird innit considering the other rounds do. I suppose the argument is there's no home advantage but it's still a little odd.
It does seem strange alright, especially as the earlier rounds do so. I suppose the logic of this and logistics make sense, avoiding fixture pile ups, the world cup approaching etc. While no one likes a replay, its a pity not to get the opportunity to get to Wembley three times in one season!
Was just going to mention that. Back in 1999. Always amazed how poor the knowledge of football history is amongst some of our fans.
A semi final replay at wembley would be ****e. I don't think I'd bother. It's bad enough having one semi final there but going there twice? You'd be sick to the teeth by the time of the final.
Is that a dig at me for starting the thread? Well sorry for not knowing something that has never mattered to us since the 1930s. As Ive said many, many times on here - I literally have zero interest in English football outside of Hull City. I did not watch one single MotD or see a single EPL goal last season. FACT.
That's more a problem of going to Wembley in the first place at this stage. In 1993 they put an end to FA Cup final replays. It happened 6 times in the past, since then 2 have been decided by penalties. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FA_Cup_Final
