But everyone keeps telling us the only reason we won the league last season is becuase everyone else was so **** ?? So not much change means everyone else is still ****
Firstly, I never claimed everyone else was **** last season. I said everyone else had dropped their level so Man Utd winning it wasn't as impressive as in other seasons. However, I am willing to take that back a little now having seen just how poor the Man Utd squad is without Fergie. As for this season, everyone is still at that poorer level but we've taken advantage of the situation. You can't claim that the title challenges are of top quality when three of the top four have already lost five games this season with nine, ten or twelve games still to go. Fifth and sixth have lost eight times! Sure, you can claim the league is better overall, it probably is more competitive but isn't that another way of saying the rest are catching up? European football says the drop in level for our top teams. We can't compete with the Spanish or Germans.
I never said that you did say that did I ?? I personally think the standard at the top of the league has been falling for the last 3 or 4 years. I'm simply pointing out that some Liverpool fans are eager to point out that our success was down to other teams being so poor whereas their recent success has no relation to that at all.
I never said you said I'd said that I think other teams being poor was a factor but not 100% of it. The same applies this year. Liverpool do not have a top four squad but **** happens.
