I know this sounds ridiculous that Allam may achieve his Europe dream after a single season in the Premiership, but will we really have squad depth enough next season that is capable of competing in 4 competitions.

Swansea seem to have gone backwards in the Premier League this season. Coincidence?

I don't care, The opportunity may never arise again and we should remember where we have come from.

That's like risking your wedding of 15 years for a chance at a night with Megan Fox*.

You could get there, fail to perform and then not even have your marriage to fall back on.

If we get to that stage, we need Europe for too many reasons than I can be bothered to type. Notably, though it might well be a big factor in Bruce signing a new deal too.

That second season, we’d make proviso and any sort of survival would do (as it would in the second season anyway without Europe).

I think as the FA Cup qualifier, we’d go straight into the group stage (unlike Swansea for instance who had to play some qualifying games).

Even with likely budget cuts, we’d still improve the squad albeit probably slightly giving us better rotation. Being in Europe would deffo improve our pulling power too.

We could sack off the League Cup as a youth/reserve experiment and use realistic rotation as and when in the league.

Swansea are a good side but teams with seemingly as good players have been relegated before without being in Europe, so their league progress isn’t the most reliable indicator. Stoke also managed it previously as have many others.

In short, Europe would confirm the new age and new order of Yorkshire.

    This.

15 years ago yesterday we lost 2-0 to Cambridge United and was 23rd in Division Four.

If we get into the Europa league it could significantly fast forward a few years with the quality of player we'll be able to attract. Next season would be tough but we'd be able to put a ****ing strong squad together to really push on in the not too distant future and try and do a little more than just retain premiership status year after year til we slip up.

Yep, you need to grasp every opportunity. Nobody knows what lies ahead, but we may never have a better chance of Hull City qualifying for Europe. Wow!

    Absolutely.

It would compliment our arrival as a destination city in the build up to City Of Culture and act as the catalyst to force through stadium development and expansion and allow us all to move forward together as Hull City AFC and leave the Hull Tigers gimmickry behind us.

We started this season with a team that crawled over the line to finally get promotion. We couldn't convince Hooper to join us, we couldn't convince Schmeichel to join us and we couldn't score goals.

Now we have a great chance of survival. We have probably averaged around 12th place all season. We are odds on to reach the FA Cup final and with it a place in Europe next season.

    Dare to Dream.

Can I Dare to Demand that we get 7-8pts by the time our semi-final comes around.

Well our fixtures up to and including Wembley are:

    Man City (H)
    West Brom (H)
    West Ham (A)
    Stoke (A)
    Swansea (H)
    --------------
    Sheff Utd (N)

7 or 8 points doesn't look impossible whatsoever. The WBA and Swansea home games we should be looking to get wins from.

Hopefully get 4 or 5 points on board so we can send the ressies out against Swansea and keep players fresh for the cup.

A minimum average of a point per game required.

A big uncertainty is what Steve Bruce will do. If he moves on to a bigger club on the back of what he's achieved at City then it's all up in the air. Yes it could easily happen.

I don't see what bigger club would take him. They all want foreign managers.

Why shouldn't we go as far as we can in Europe if we get the chance? So many people squealed saying we shouldn't pay for one good striker never mind two and look what a difference it's made. We need to have four good strikers if we are in Europe and two good players for every position. So many clubs are struggling in the Premier League so if we could rise above that pack and consolidate. Get the stadium capacity extended to 34,000 and improve hospitality and we'll have more income.
