If the club are listening to offers for Jose and Collo, what about Clichy?

He speaks French and the bin dippers want him so he fits with our policy ;-)

  2. We're not going to let Coloccini go, it would be stupid.

id take a swap for clichy with enrique but its not gonna happen is it.
we WILL need a new LB if enrique go's and i cant see a decent one coming in to be honest becuase we still need 2 strikers, 1 centre mid, 2 wingers, 1 gk and a Lb even with our 3 additions

Yeh pretty much fits our bill

  6. Mike Ashley is a twat, but he knows that if he wants to make money from the club he needs to invest also, and he also needs the team to perform, as points = £££, so he knows that getting rid of vital players like Coloccini wont help him in the long run and wont help the club either.

Seen a few rumours on twitter that Arsenal were looking to replace Clichy (Going to Liverpool) with Enrique.

Yet after that rumour surfaced more and more tweets showed up suggesting a swap+cash deal for Enrique with Clichy going to Newcastle.

    Then again, Twitter. Nuff said.

But with Coloccini being rated at £7m he's not going to be valued any higher, replace him with a similar player to Bassong ( cheap who'll be sold on for a much higher amount than bought for)

2 new strikers and 2 new wingers? If Best, Jonas and Barton (not that he's necessarily a winger) stay, I think 1 of each would fit the bill

It's a lot harder (and more expensive) to replace CBs in today's market than midfielders though, so I don't know if drawing the comparison to the MF intake fits? Not that you're directly making that comparison, but I know other people are

  11. Who cares if he doesn't get rated higher? We shouldn't turn into a selling club and sell our players just because we think we're not going to get a better offer for them in the future.

Coloccini's performances, and what he's worth to the team, is worth much, much more than what he's worth in transfer amounts.

Keep Coloccini, we can't afford to sell all our best players.

Not sure about 2 wingers. We have Marveaux, Jonas, Barton, Ben Arfa, Routledge, Lua Lua (although it look as if he's off) as well as young Ferguson and Moyo. 1 max and even then I don't think we're that desperate

    EDIT: Oh and Gosling too

    EDIT2: And Raylor

  14. Routledge isn't good enough, Lua Lua as you said, is going, we need wingers with pace and Barton doesn't have it, and Ben Arfa isn't a winger, he's an central attacking mid.

We need another winger, and Nzogbia fits the bill.

I would happily have clichy to replace enrique, but I cant see him wanting to drop down.

I would love to keep Colo, but i'm not Ashley. If someone puts in a 7m offer for a 29 year old player who earns 4.3m per year. Ashley will chew his hand off and demand someone younger, cheaper and French-er.

What about Gibbs? ATM, we might struggle with 10 UK players.

Or perhaps Barnetta? (I was in Spain all week and don't know everyone's opinion on that rumour)

Maybe but I think strikers should definitely be the priority at the moment.
