North East please. Durham/Newcastle. Warm and friendly. Unless his fist is in your face. Ignore the title of the video. Somewhat misleading.
I don't get this. We just say things properly without all the extra letters that Southerners throw in. Instead of 'fitbuw' we say 'football'. Instead of 'baarthrim' we say 'bathroom'. The daft southern accent is considered 'normal' because it's what we hear on the TV all the time, but really it's just as nonsensical and incorrect as "Ha'way" or "Ock aye the noo" or in our case "Ull". Back to the game I agree with Blampey that our boys will be extremely professional as always and won't underestimate them. We've dispatched lower league sides brilliantly so far, even with the reserve side we fielded earlier on in the tournament.
Can't believe we have someone rubbishing his own accent. Self-loathing? I can see us hammering Sheffield not because we're two divisions above them and will try and outskill them, but because we have a very determined group of largely British/Irish larkers who understand the importance of the FAC, and have an English manager. No way will we be outskilled or outfought. I predict the swine will not finish the game with all eleven players.
Of course they have a chance of beating us. It's a one off game. Anything can happen. We need to guard against being over confident. We should win but I can't get used to this being favourites thing. I like us to be the underdog. Still, it looks like some of them think we are. On accents, I didn't think Hull had one till I moved away. Every time I came back it was obvious, more so in East Hull. It's not a criticism. I can tell the City fans at the away game as soon as they speak. They don't need to wear the team's colours. The accent gives them away. Everybody has an accent of some kind. Hull also has its own dialect as well.
We've come this far now lets finish it off do they realise were the City of culture they should show more respect
You mean were I Nigel Clough I would tell em to hang back in two banks of 5? Could do with an early goal to open em up.
"I'm more pissed off with the media that keep calling it a Yorkshire derby. I don't blame Hull for celebrating, but the day they are in Yorkshire, I'm a pig fan." - axel smeets. Shame your change of allegiance will result in you missing a Wembley FA cup semi final appearance. "It is technically in Yorkshire, but in a Primordial sense it just isn't. I genuinely only see West and South as 'real Yorkshire' in all honesty. Yorkshire is a culture, as much as a county, and I aren't convinced North or East come into this category. " Well technically he is true, West and South Yorkshire are still in a primordial state. I mean the both have clubs who live on their past exploits and forget that we are the No1 football team in Yorkshire at the present time. Bless
Umm.. no. Sheffield United are the scum of the football world. They've been usurped in recent years amongst the new breed of Hull fans by Leeds, but for different reasons to why we hated United. They will always in my mind be our main enemies.
I'm not. If they think drawing City is an easier tie then drawing Wigan who are one league below us then it speaks volumes to their thinking and logic. Underestimate us, of course a third division club will be the odds on favourites against a Premier League side, it goes without saying.
Considering the alternatives for them, of course we're a good draw for them, and one they think they can beat. If the tables were turned would you be expecting us to lose or would you be talking us up? Sure, some of those posters are full of crap, but that's hardly a unique thing is it?
Is Paul Heaton a **** ? I love his tunes, and the Housemartins, London 0 Hull 4 is framed on my bedroom wall. He speaks very highly of Hull, but he's actually a Blunts fan. It's difficult to tell... is he a **** or not ? Could someone put this one to bed for me ? i often wonder about him.
