A. Wembley should be reserved for finals, it dilutes the occasion somewhat having the semis there too. Old Trafford, Villa Park, Emirates etc. are more than suitable. Still a big occasion - and neutral - but it keeps Wembley as the pinnacle.
Sadly with standing now banned only Old Trafford, The Etihad and Newcastle are big enough for a semi (depending on who the teams are). IMO, the semi's should be played @ Cardiff's Millenium stadium. I voted B btw.
It says a lot about the decisions to have them there when the fans of a team who've only played at Wembley once before feel they're cheating a bit by getting there the second time because their achievements don't merit it yet.
I'd like the semi finals to be at Elland road, it would nice for them to get something, they've had a hell of a time of it.
I honestly do not think that if we got the final, having played there in the Semi would in any shape way or form devalue it for me. I don't see why playing it at a "neutral" ground is better than playing it at Wembley either. I realise some might like to visit Old Trafford or Villa Park, not sure why anyone would want to go to Bellend Rd mind, but Wembley suits it as much as any of those other grounds.
Hmm never thought of it like that, can't say I generally watch other teams Semi's, and I only watch the final cos its football, usually I find myself doing other stuff due to lack of interest. It's not really the location, its the game for me, can play it where ever they want to.
Wembley should be reserved for the final only. There's plenty of grounds big enough to host a semi final.
