It's sad that Livtor doesn't even appear to understand the questions that he is, very clumsily, trying to pose.

    Control freak .... much!

So you aren't willing to answer a simple question? How about a bizarre one seeing as you like the bizarre - did God make you an atheist?

Now JB his answer to that may depend upon the universe that he is inhabiting when he reads the question!

Your answer to what JB posted doesn't make sense, he makes a statement about some people being willing to learn or at least understand a point of view. Your reply is off on a tangent.

With regards to your question my reply would just start a pointless argument again as you don't understand my point of view and are not willing to accept that my point of view is valid to me and that there is no right or wrong on this subject.

No, God did not make an atheist. I think that 'atheist' is the natural faith state a modern human intellect awakens to. I think that being a believer in God, and especially a particular faith, is less natural to the modern human intellect. In order to 'believe', the modern human needs to be a certain personality, be raised in a certain faith environment, have a certain scientifically incurious disposition.

See? A nice, clean, simple answer. No beating around the bush redfaced. Follow my lead. Now: How many of the planets hosting intellectual beings you think have been visited by Jesus?

    I'll indulge you.

Jesus was the son of God sent to Earth to teach the people that there was an afterlife. (Simply put)

God created the Universe is something that is taught in the Bible but it does not mean he sent Jesus to all planets inhabited with intelligent life, those planets have their own story and therefore their own relationship with God.

To directly answer your question he could have sent Jesus in some form to all or none of the planets. But again this is all down to what the individual believes.

No, they haven't descended from earth-bound apes, obviously. They will have descended down their own evolutionary routes, which will have been shaped by their own geological & biological environments.

See? Nice, 2 for the price 1. Now mike goes again to our shy faith clan for the very much anticipated answer to my question...

How many of the planets hosting intellectual beings you think have been visited by Jesus? (Luv just gave his answer <applause>, now onto you JB/Dave)

So you 'awaken' to a state that doesn't believe in something that doesn't exist? What other things or beings, who's existence you deny, do you devote time to?

Livtor, you just don't realise how close you came to answering at least part of your own question when you said "No, God did not make an atheist". However you will never understand why more is the pity.

You said you would answer 3 questions? 1 will do.

Throughout this whole thread you have been unbending and unwilling to accept any opinion other than your own.

How do you know you are right?

So, to follow up on Jesus's voyage to Earth and not to Xarxon...

Do you believe that this planet of ours is singularly special from all the million others that could harbor intelligent life? Or is this belief not necessary for your faith or your friends' faith?

Like I said the Bible states that God created the Universe I also said that each planet would have it's own story and relationship with God as they percieve him. Your question doesn't make sense?

Yes, the modern scientifically curious human intellect does not originally believe in a god. Least of all in a christian or muslim god. Many conditions will have to be in place for a 'believer' to come to be.

“My view is that if there is no evidence for it, then forget about it . . . An agnostic is somebody who doesn’t believe in something until there is evidence for it, so I’m agnostic.”

He thinks he's being clever. That if there is intelligent life on other planets, it somehow disproves there's a God.

I ask such questions because almost all believers loathe to consider that the 'human being' is not special (as sanctioned by god). And loathe to consider that earth is just one in 100 billion planets lonely spinning out there. Gallileo and Capernicus had an impossible time stating that Sun does not revolve around the Earth for the same reasons.

Religion has always loved the concept of a special raport our earth-born prophets and messiah have forged between Earth and God.

Does the Pope believe in intelligent alien life?

But that is nonsense, correct me if I'm wrong but in no way does the Bible teach that God created man and only man as the one being that would have any belief in him.
