Normally great for sports coverage whatever the sport. That said they don't have the rights to the FA Cup which are with ITV and BT Sport so you'll struggle ti see anything online, and minimal reporting during live programmes by comparison to their usual high standards. All in all pretty pathetic.
It's been all Sheffield United today; and how they've "Risen from the Ashes." Surely our 84 year wait for an FA Cup Semi Final and only second EVER trip to Wembley trumps that on the "importance" list?
I still think there's been a lot of "ooooh, look they're small in League 1 and are at Wembley!" to the SSN reports today. Maybe City will do what they do best, and that's sneak in without being noticed too much and win the whole thing!
A League 1 club in the semis is more of a story than a PL one. Especially if that club is of a decent size.
Youve only just realised that Sky push the sports they have the rights to? Why do you think they constantly bleat about the EPL and La Liga being 'the best leagues in the world'? Unfortunately it works and your average Sky subscriber now thinks all other leagues are ****e.
We're the second biggest club in the semis, it's a non-story to the neutrals. Give it a rest, you sound like scousers.
we're so used to being the underdogs you all better get used to the whole country bar us supporting Sheff Utd (apart from my Arsenal mate who wants a City vs Arse BBQ party with big screen here in France!)
A woman 'sports columnist' on BBC R4, early this a.m. said Sheff.U. had got to their Wembley semi by beating Hull City 2-1! How w*nk is that?
If we beat sheffield united and Arsenal beat wigan it will be all about how Arsenal could finally end their gigantic 9 year wait to win a trophy and how fantastic an achievment it will be and no one will know it would be our first ever cup final appearance in 110 years of existence.
They are. Even Felix Magath says the PL is the best The thing that annoys me about this coverage is that when they show City it's all about the Meyler celebration rather than the football or the passion and excitement on show. How many people even noticed the headbutt celebration at the time? I didn't even though it was right near me. What about the fact it was a bloody brilliant goal? Also, it might sound daft but one of the biggest things I enjoy about a City goal is the ensuing roar. Why do they always have to turn the crowd noise down on TV just so we can hear some numpty like Clarke Carlisle better? I watch the highlights back partly to again enjoy the moment of celebration and it's thwarted in a way to make way for the Soccer AM type neutrals to hear Carlisle going on about celebrations.
Anyone from Hull is used to us being ignored. Why should it change now. The best bit is ignore them (like we did to gain promotion last season and in 2008) and slip under the radar while everyone else says how did little Hull City get where they are.
We are from Hull and we always get ignored. There is nothing new in that statement. Let's stop bleating and try to win the f**ker.
Oh there's a shock - he says where he currently works is best. Everybody always does precisely that, it's called PR. ****loads of players and managers who leave these shores then slate the league, but funnily enough the media dont tend to publicise these. Jose said Serie A was by far the hardest, with the bottom teams being light years ahead of the EPL bottom teams and that winning there was worth 3 EPL titles. And then he went to Spain and said the same. And now he's back in Blighty he says this league is the best again. He once said, and I quote, "Ibra is the best striker in the world. I say he's the best striker in the world because he plays for my club." Tells you everything you need to know.
Nope not just realised, just cheesed off (again) that their reporting of the FA Cup is so w**k cause they don't have the rights!
