Logistically I'd go the other way. The tube network will be heaving on Sunday because of the marathon, the majority of the Arsenal fans will be using the tube to get to the game whilst the Yorkshire clubs (and of course Wigan) will both be bringing down a hell of a lot more by coach on a route that's nowhere near the marathon. Makes sense to split the load on the Tube over the two days.
I doubt it mate, how many pass holders have you got? 17 or 18k??? That'll leave cup ticket buyers who aren't pass holders and then general sale for the remainder. Unless they do something daft like allowing pass holders 2 tickets, then you should be fine.
I agree. Corporates (Premier Club etc) will be allocated first probably 2 tkts per seat followed by season ticket holders 2 per seat as well. And that's it - pufffffft, just like Keyser Soze - they're all gone.
For the benefit of those who might miss out for whatever reason from your club. Club Wembley pass holders can sell their seats via Wembley for any game they don't want to attend. Loads of ours bought tickets by simply signing up for a few quid on the website (I think it was £5 or £10 at the time) and then buying them at face value.
We bought Club Wembley tickets for the play-off final direct from the club and it was part of the City end. Is it different for FA Cup games?
But what are trains like Sunday evening? If kick off is 4.00, possible extra time, are there any trains back up North after 7.30/8.00?
Manchester United ‏@ManUtd 4h Our home game vs Hull, scheduled for Saturday 12 Apr, has been postponed due to their participation in the FA Cup semi-final. New date TBC. That sounds very surreal, very exciting and very funny.
Can't see how people who have attended FA Cup games this season will get preferential treatment in the ticket allocation. I would presume a number of fans who have been to all the Cup games may have paid on the gate especially at the Boro and both Brighton games.
Has anybody mentioned this? The weekend that City play at Wembley is also Magic Weekend in the Rugby - so will be FC vs KR.
Well if fans have any sense they'd forget that and go to Wembley. "hmm... do I go to a match that happens every season or a possibly once-in-a-lifetime game at Wembley?"
It might not be that easy, many will have bought tickets, travel and accommodation already, though I'm sure plenty will switch regardless.
I'm one of those, already cancelled the hotel, and gave my tickets away. Not missing our first semi-final for 84 years for anything!
This is my hope to be honest. I reckon if we're the Sunday game far fewer people will be up for travelling and getting a ticket will be much easier. Am I missing something - Magic Weekend is in May isnt it? We havent got to the final yet. You dont have to, it doesnt clash with the semi. You should ask for those tickets back....
The semi-final is in April. The Magic weekend is the same weekend as the cup-final in May. We aren't in the final yet. Am I missing something? Blonde again?
National rail inquiries showing 8:35 as the last train to Hull on the 13th. And no planned engineering works on the ECML after 8am.
