If Kroos is genuinely interested then we need to pay him the money he wants, he is a world class footballer, and is arguably the best central midfield player around at the moment. I personally think Bayern will eventually buckle and pay him the money wants, as it'll cost them a lot more to replace him, but if there is a possibility then we have to make it happen. Just because we're likely to not be in the CL next season, it doesn't make us an unattractive option, as despite what most players say 90% will go where the money is. Id be amazed though if other clubs don't come in for him, as there isn't a side in Europe that he wouldn't improve
Think he wants to be the man. That leaves us as a serious option. Unless cleverley is going to keep him out of tye side... He isn't. In England it would be us, Liverpool and maybe arsenal
About £25-35million seems to be the figurr. Last year of vontract as well in the summer so maybe less. Wages are where you will get stuck. He will want Suarez wages. I doubt you can offer that for more than one player.
I think we could offer those wages but we won't. Any player wanting that sort of wage will have to earn it in a similar way to how Saurez did (no, I don't mean biting someone ). As much as I'd love us to splash the cash on two quality players, one of which should be central midfield although preferably more defensive minded, I just don't see us spending £30m on a single player this summer. I see us signing a few squad additions (as well as recalling some loanees) to cope with the demands of European football.
I'm not going there with you again UIR, I'm still getting over the dizzy spells from last time with your "flat track bully" accusations Just look at his record and tell me he's not worth what he gets
