Almost as predictable as the sun rising in the East. PSG to make a bid of 40mill for Oscar and Barca 25mill for Luiz and 25mill for Courtois. These rich clubs like City, Monaco and PSG are becoming a pain in the arse trying to buy all the good players from little Clubs like us !!
I would suspect, that many more sides than PSG and Barca would like to sign them! However all deals now have to bear in mind the rules on balancing the books! We will be going for a potential top drawer striker who no doubt will cost more than a few bob and that means we will have to off load a similar sum! Luiz is someone we could cover, Oscar and Courtois we couldn't! Lets think about Ba and Mikel as other selling options!
Barca have agreed to sign Ter Stegen, so Courtois ain't going there. Mikel, Ba , Torres in that order would be first out.
Can see us keeping Courtois as Ter Stegen is off to Barca. Think Luiz will probably go, i reckon we can get a tiny little bit more than 25 though. 41m on Oscar is a great price, considering we paid about half that, still wouldn't sell though, too hard to replace. Seen loads of rumours that Inter want Mikel and also Torres. The latest one i saw said Torres could fetch us up to 20m hahaha.
I think Torres has improved somewhat from his early days, but if someone offered us £20m for the guy, at his age, I would take their hand off!!
Courtois is saying he is looking to Real in 2016. I'd bite someones hand off if they offered 2mill for Torres. Yes he's improved, but he's still not the free scorer we need.
Courtois will do as he's bloody well told! It's more likely he'll be used as a make weight for Costa but I personally think he should be brought in an Atletico should give us a bloody good price on him too. I have a real axe to grind with those boys over there in Spain and it's high time we got a fair deal from them!
Cech is getting increasingly dodgy on crosses and Courtois needs to brought back. Selling Torres, Mikel, Luiz and Ba should more than cover Costa. Wouldn't want to move Oscar on until he is measured up against Piazon - especially seeing as we sold Mata because Oscar was hogging the no.10 spot.
I hope you're right. Boggles my mind that we buy so many youngsters in the hope that some will be good enough for us and when one not only does that, but becomes one of the best in the world his position there are talks for using him as makeweight for other deals.
I think we've got a big problem now with Courtois. If we can't tie him down to a deal this summer we probably should try and use him to get Costa. As I see it, if he comes back he may wish to see how the season pans out before committing to a deal given we already have Cech and then suddenly we could have a world class keeper in the last year of his contract. IMO we ****ed up big time allowing him to spend so long at Madrid without extending that initial 5 year deal. He doesn't look like he wants to return, especially to fight it out with Cech. Last season part of the agreement to let him stay should have been for him to sign a 2 year extension.
