Tough one this one for me.....as I really should want a Liverpool win to damage United's battle with us for a EL place........but it's the ****e ffs....toughie. I think I'll have to hope for the asteroid strike option
He should have got a straight red v WBA. please log in to view this image please log in to view this image please log in to view this image He'll probably get his red against us, either him or Raphael.
If United get bummed then it'll surely be the final straw for Moyes? If I was having money on it, I'd go for a feisty score draw and at least 1 red card....
Whilst I have little faith in moyes I have enormous faith in liverpools ability to **** this up big time. If theres one team, not called arsenal and not called city, then liverpool are the only side capable of destroying a great season. I have every faith in Liverpool to continue their 23 year tradition.
I would think if it's true that Moyes has completely lost the dressing room then a good way to help show him the door would be to lose in a half arsed manner to Liverpool and City. In that respect, this is very much a benchmark game. I wonder if Moyes has the bottle to drop RVP and play Welbeck, the rest of the side being the same as the starting eleven v the Baggies? I think he should. If United play their bollocks off for Moyes then that tells us where we are. The ONLY way we have any hope of scrapping 4th is to beat Liverpool and City as no more losses can occur. It also needs a big free fall from Arsenal too as I think Chelsea, City and Liverpool as secure as the top three, in that order.
I think you've called it spot on there mate. There's pressure on them as well here, as their hat is in the ring for the title & for the first time they've now got to play and win like genuine contenders, as opposed to chasing a 'place' as the prize.
I actually think Liverpool will win the title. The thought is very disturbing but I actually think they will do it.
A win and a good performance could change many views on moyes. Just winning wont do it, a win with players willing to put themselves on the line and play for moyes will be huge. It wont change my mind. It will however get me thinking. What I dont want is a win like the one over arsenal that is followed by more horrible form.
I think when push comes to shove, their backline will prove to be their undoing. They concede too many goals, and you can't rely on scoring 3 or 4 to win every week. I think they'll fade slightly in the run in, leaving City and Chelsea to fight it out. They'll compete with Arsenal for 3rd / 4th imo, whilst Spurs, Us and you lot argue over 5th to 7th....
iI still don't think we have a chance of the title. I'm confident that fourth place will be secured now, something I was adamant wouldn't happen this season but the title needs us to be winning eight of the last eleven games to stand a chance. With Tottenham, Man City and Chelsea or visit Anfield and Man Utd away, that could be tough and in the worse case scenario of losing all four of them, it leaves very little room for error. Winning eight would put us on 83pts for the season, IMO that is still a hit and miss amount for the title.
I've said for a while that if we beat both Chelsea and City then we will win it. Lot of footy to be played yet. My main thinking here is that Chelsea and City will drop points over the rest of the season so the head to heads against them will prove crucial. Tobes point about our defence is also valid, we have to stop conceding as many goals but a run of games with Skrtel and Agger or Sakho and that'll happen.
Yes, top 4 is certain. Theres no way an 8 point gap can be over turnes in 9 games. Its just not possible.
Take your liverpool glasses off because you forgot to mention that Foster should've been sent off as well.
I think you'd have to beat both of them to have any chance of winning it. Chelsea will arrive in the Routemaster and grind out a result at Anfield, you just know it...
