Not heard of the kid, Anderlecht do have one prospect who I've heard though, Youri Tielemans (sp?), think he too is only 16/17 and has already featured a number of times for the first team. Looks like a young Dembele that can make long distance passes and take the odd freekick/ set piece. If the Azzaoui kid is rated on a par with Januzaj though like Roo mentions then I'm all for it - providing he doesn't copy Januzaj with the diving antics!
The player clearly wants out of United, and I'm sure he'd relish the chance of being at a club where he has a chance to win things. Indeed, I reckon we should be making a double-bid for him and RVP.
I rate Hernandez but he doesn't fit in with the kind of style of football we're supposed to be looking to play. As for RVP, he's got enough injury problems without joining us
Former Tottenham and England manager Glenn Hoddle says Spurs boss Tim Sherwood was wrong to criticise his players' character following the 4-0 defeat by Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday. (Source: Sky Sports) Give it a rest, Glenn! No way will Levy bring you back as manager, mate.
Hoddle has some front after his critisism of Gazza to the worlds media when he was England manager. At least Sherwood did not name names as far as I am aware.
Hoddle and Sherwood have previous - Sherwood slagged him off in the press after he was sacked as Spurs manager.
Apparently, according to the papers, Sherwoodie has admitted that he has probably lost his job because of the Chav drubbing, and we're being linked with that Gaal bloke, and Laudrup. That means we'll end up with Laudrup, after Swansea sack him (for being useless), because that will be the cheapskate bargain-basement option for Levy.
Sack or sacked? I'm not sure I can handle another foreign manager with zero personality. He is a gentleman and good for clubs like Swansea but Laudrup would be a mistake.
Senior players may admire Laudrups playing career, but another managerial novice, no. Laudrups answer to poor results and performances is to send the team on holiday on the piss , far too laid back. A respected, authoritive, proven figure who's done a bit is whats needed now and nothing less imo.
Exactly. Even Harry (who, lets admit it, didn't exactly have a great deal of real success, like 1 FA cup) was an experienced and therefore respected manager and he managed to keep everyone in line and fighting for the team. The lack of fight is my one big problem and worry.
True, but Gaal will probably demand a far higher fee, hence Levy will give the job to Laudrup. You might just as well get used to the idea now and soften the pain and disappointment for later.
The Grauniad are indicating that Baldini might be leaving this summer, freeing up wages for van Gaal.
Me too, but the shadow of Santini and Ramos still loom large in my head. Regardless, for me Sherwood does not have the respect of the dressing room. Its clear something is majorly wrong from the performances and head dropping on the pitch. Baldini's signings have not worked. So lets get Van Gaal unless he's using us to get a better club
