It's true - the world is full of ****s like me, so protect yourselves against them by trying to build a permanent capital for yourself. Every **** thinks their capital is their personal talents - and someone will keep paying them for the next 50 years for that amazing talent - so they keep spending whatever excess money they have as soon as they gain it. The truth is in about 20 years time some smart kid will come along with a new talent which makes our talents redundant, and we'll be like the miners of the 1980's (or the Tube drivers of the 2020's <whistle>) and find our talents no longer worth anything to the world. So the trick is to build up actual real capital while people still think your skill is useful - or alternatively keep learning new more useful skills.

Then when the new kid replaces your talent you won't have to stand in the 'The World is Not Fair' protest with Toby.

Tho, read in Metro, the most expensive places to live for house price v salary value is places like chichester, southampton and brighton!

Stirling and Derry are the best value...

What sort of mental **** would want to live in either Stirling or Derry <yikes>

London is just re ****ing diculous for house prices and rent for that matter. I was paying £650 a month for a one bed flat in Belsize 15 years ago, **** knows how much it would be today.

London is too expensive for me - I keep seeing real good jobs advertised there too, but, as in my spiel above, you've no chance of being able to save money while living in London unless you are on a stupid wage. It's a bubble too - there's no way the average property price can continue to grow while it's currently 12x the average wage.
