    Reason 1 - the Owners.

I think we will look back at the recent transfer window as the defining factor in our demise. Selling Alnwick after his performances, particularly at Ipswich, smacked of self inflicted madness. Yann and Stephens were two of our better players this season. Six players came in, all from different countries, and all apparently sharing one thing in common - they were not recruited by Powell. Nego looks awful (as you would expect from the Hungarian 2nd div), Reza needs time which we have not got, Thuram looks poor, AA is not fully fit, Koc looks precisely that....and, trust us....we have employed the one Pole who has come to this country & is not working. RD's interview last week stank like a week old mackerel stuffed down a vagrant's underpants. "Charlton players may be sold" and "Charlton fans will have to accept" etc. Feeder Club FC here we come.

Solution to the above - Stop being nicey nicey little ol Charlton. Start letting RD know what we think, starting on Wednesday night.

    Reason 2 - the Manager.

Chris Powell was memorably described today as "the man who thinks tactics are small mints". Spot on. Too many mistakes to catalogue this season, but Pritchard on the right, Cousins on the right, 4-5-1 at home, no shots or crosses in 90 min, and bizarre and defensive substitutions are a start. The sad thing for Sir Chris is that the performance yesterday, the sheer lack of fight, leaves an indelible stain on his record as manager.

Solution - sack him today. Take Useless stooge Dyer down the road with him. Yesterday proved once and for all that Powell has lost it. Put Hart and Matthew in charge for remaining games. Could they do any worse than a manager who averages less than 1 point a game?

    Reason 3 - the Fans.

The "Wally/Trainspotter Element" of our support does us a huge diservice. Not only does it make us a laughing stock among other club's fans, it also inures our owners - whoever they are, but particularly Murray - who then think because they are surrounded by a bunch of forty and fifty something kagool wearing train spotters, they can get away with murder. We need to start acting a lot more like Millwall's fans for the rest of this season.

Solution - immediate suspension of all "fans" who fulfill at least three of these 5 criteria: wear a kagool/cardigan, sport a combover, age over 50, bring a tupperware container to games containing half time refreshments, stand in West Stand car park like a raspberry, tongues lolling out like Andy from Little Britain, waiting with clipboard and biro for autographs. I am 110% serious. Ban them.

Stop hitting on the fan's Vol, it's offensive to people and just pure crap.... we need these fans.... stop being pathetic.... we can't survive with just 500 fans at every home game

    The rest I agree with

They are a big part of the problem. Surprised you can't see it. We don't need them.

    We need money from them.....

I wear a cardigan sometimes... kinda fashionable believe it or not...retro sheek stuff. I will stand outside the West Stand before a game...before walking into the North Upper. THEN at half time I'll take my lunch that I brought from home, because 4 quid for a disgusting 0% meat burger isn't worth my time.

But i'm only 21 and not balding... but am I being banned because I filled 3 of those criteria?
Been a season ticket holder from 2001, even past 3 years when I'm at uni and see a max of 8 home games a season.

I went to Sheffield, I went to Leicester, (as well as about 5 home games since September) last season went to Huddersfield, Leicester, Forest and Brighton (as well as home games on top). So am I being banned by you? If so that is disgusting if you don't believe I'm a real fan

Agree, the bashing of the fans is non sensical. Every club have portions of the fans who are more for going to the game to watch a sport they love and a team who they share the same sentiment.

Honestly - what makes you different to the majority of our support? You want to let Roland know on Wednesday that you're unhappy, how do you propose this? I'm not saying we shouldn't, but it's easy to say what we should do without offering a solution?

without them, our club would be the size of southend. we'd have a 27000 seater ground and only 1000 angry, what i call "vols", in attendance. it wouldnt be pretty, there'd be keyboards in pieces all over the place as people furiously type and vent. there'd be "reams'" running round kicking doors and then season ticket prices would go up as we'd then have to pay for the damage caused by these nutters.

They say people attack the traits and behaviours they dislike about themselves. It's a sort of inverted self-abuse. :emoticon-0147-emo:

Where do you buy your Tupperware from, Vol?

Look at what RD's actual "plan" is for our future, and ask yourself why we should accept it? The ultimate form of protest for those who can't stomach RD will be a boycott, which I suspect you will see in all but name if we are relegated to Div 3 next season anyway.

A loud rendition on Wednesday night of "You can stick your Anil Koc up your arse" would be a good start.

We are heading that way anyway. Passive Bobby Charlton lookalikes guzzling Beef Oxo out of a straw are NOT the answer. Ban them. The age of our fan base makes your average Darby and Joan Club look like a Club 18-24 holiday.

That's a good chant.... but if we're doing a boycott for it, we can't sing the chant...
Bit scared though if we unleash a Dragon from RD and he goes, oh well, fans hate me, lets give them a reason

Sells all first team squad, sells off youth facilities, the valley, changes us to playing in White and moves us to Berwick

So we become ageist and alienate part of our fan base? The same thing that RD is doing, but in a different way?

I have a great affinity with Northumberland, so a move north would suit me down to the ground. I regularly rent a summer house in Dunstanburgh, which I often think about buying, and my first published work was based in Norhamshire, an exclave belonging to the Bishop of Durham.

The sight of puffins and guillemots at dawn is a balm to the soul.

And my agent's office is situated in Hexham, so I am certainly willing to run with Ted's idea.

    Oh please.

It has got NOTHING to do with being ageist. It is the MANNER of these supporters, what they say about CAFC, and the way they let a succession of dud owners get away with ripping this club a new arsehole. Can you imagine Murray lasting at Millwall for the 89 years he has been stuck with us ? Ditto the Chuckle Liberty Taking Brothers. And what about the reaction to RDs little interview last week. Who the hell does this little Belgian nobody think he is? Stick to your own country, mate! Don't experiment with our club.

Agree with points 1 and 2 Nick.

As for 3, I require a little clarity.

On this forum recently, i've read about 2 types of fan that ah dahn ah grahnd and doin the oppos job for em.

    1 - The "Wally/Trainspotter Element"
2 - The middle class Kent fans (typical has mentioned this group)

Are these different? If so, which is worse? Purely out of interest.

There is something most disturbing about a large section of our fan base. many of you wont see it, some of you wont admit it, but when it takes a Millwall fan like Lovely Geezer to point it out to you (see Charlton Life Thread) surely its time to sit up and listen.

We are not even a feeder club, we are a donor club and when there is nothing more to take, we will be facked-truly facked.

For the purposes of clarity, I attach the below photo. These are the type of Charlton supporters I would ban.

Vol if you want to be more millwall then please go. Id rather have T C and his wit than your insulting confrontational arrogance that the vol way is the only way. You will be delighted when our season tickets drop by one next season as this over 50s north stand non boval drinker is fed up, not with CAFC but with the moronic vol element . Stick to insulting the management and owners. My season ticket cash is as good as yours.
