That would mean we would have Pardew as manager who in their right mind would want that, I'm sure even Fulham would not want an idiot as a manager

What you say is true but I would like you to take note as the rounds progress the quality of the teams picked starts to improve, with Sunderland's precarious position in the league the worst thing that could have happened would be for them to have won ( Other than a draw ) and I do not believe that managers are not aware of that, the cup is a bit of luxury if you are safe in the league

PS Hull made three changes yesterday (Today)

Fredor, if we had the players performing to a higher level then Ashley would cash in on them.

We will not progress beyond mid-table with Ashley at the helm as he has no intention of doing so.

Does that mean that Poyet actually works on 'diving' during training? <yikes>

Quite a confession. To be fair he is no Pulis and being Uruk-Hai he will teach a bit of diving. His Brighton side were notorious for the diving/cheating and he was noted for it as a player.

Sunderland are just a poor team and have built their team using the worst possible strategy of padding the squad out with short term loan players. A very poorly run club.

They haven't had a left back for 5 years and are currently using Alonso & Dossena to cover this role (both loan players). At CB they have Brown and O'Shea who are both approaching 64 years of age with another loan player in Vergini for cover and at right back they have Bardsley, a player who has previosuly used social media to laugh at the club after a defeat. I think even he might be out of contract at the season. They therefore pretty much require a whole new back four.

In midfield they have Colback and Ki, one of which is yet to sign a new deal and out of contract in the summer and the other yet another loan player and it's yet to be seen if Monk will want him back at Swansea. Should these two not get tied down (which is the most likely outcome) they'll be left with the unproven Bridcutt and the very much proven sh*t that is Lee Cattermole as their CM pairing. In the wide areas they have Johnson who after three years has finally sound some form and they have Giacherrini who although appears talented, he simply hasn't fitted in to the English game. In conclusions they need two more CM's and at least 1 more wide player.

When Borini goes it'll leave them with Altidore, Fletcher and the next Cordone (Scocco).

Even if they stay up I can't see anything but another relegation battle for them next year. Is Ellis really going to fund the 8/9 top quality palyers that they need? I can't see it.

Now I know and Sunderland fan reading this will state we have Remy and De Jong. However by all accounts De Jong has a 6m option to buy and is all but nailed on to sign permanently as the player himself has said he wants to do the deal and Pardew has also said he's keen on making it permanent too.

So that leaves Remy who we all pretty much accept won't be here. Two loans players help fill gaps in the squad etc, 7-9 loan players results in lack of commitment on the pitch and a complete squad overhaul every summer. And to think they'd have you believe that our owner is the one that doesn't have a clue about how to run a football club.

You mean Alan Pardew, the fine fellow who won manager of the year just two years ago.

Or do you mean Alan Pardew, the fine fellow who has us sat in 8th position, just of few points off of European qualification despite not having made a permanent signing for the best part of 18 months.

Or finally do you mean Alan Pardew, the fine fellow that had to sell his best player in January but has still managed to steady the ship and steer us to a within few points of European qualifcation.

I mean whichever way you look at it, it's a great appointment by Mike.

Maybe Mr Ellis Short should give wor Mike a call. I'm sure Mike could spare a few minutes of his time top help assist our noisy neighbours, for a premium price of course.

Anybody ever gone to the trouble of counting how many posts Whitey has on OUR board?

Do you think he really wants to jump ship and come aboard ours?
