Loved the way Meyler nutted the cornerflag after his goal. Take that Pardew!! Gave him an extra point for that which put him just ahead of Rossy for 3rd MOM place. Fantastic team effort though. Even Figgy looked good.

I usually look through the previous posts until I find one that agrees with my selection and jump on the bandwagon (often quite a small one) and more often than not it's yours! Today is no exception. Exactly what I was going to go for.

Davies has been really good all season but today he was on another level. Won everything in the air, broke up attacks. anticipated brilliantly to make interceptions and barely let the opposition have a sniff.

Meyler worked hard up and down and a great finish.

Fryatt ran his legs off and got his reward.

Nobody played badly, Figgy had his usual few abberations and I wish somebody would point out to Aluko that his abilities would be far more effective if he mixed it up a bit and sometimes kept it simple, rather than trying to bamboozle the opposition every time. Especially on the edge of his own box!

Davies - one of his best performances in a long line of good performances for us - hopefully Woy watched (and ignored Keane saying he shouldn't be picked for England)

The fact they all scored is a coincidence. Tough to leave Elmo and Rosenior out.

Keane's a ****wit. His opinion carries a lot of weight because of his success in football management - not!

Davies - an awesome performance. His reading of the game was fantastic today. Strode out to make tackles and interceptions with the confidence of a truly world class defender. Superb in the air also. Keane's jibe at him and Steve Bruce for pointing out that his player and MoM was of England quality was spiteful and wrong headed. Which sums the **** Keane up in a nutshell.

Elmohammedy - another consistent performance. The type of player who gets small dogs named after him.

Fryatt - by far the most effective of our forwards. Worked very hard and finished his goal with aplomb (once Cattermole had set him up and Ustari had dived out of the way. Possibly the funniest goal I've ever seen!)

Good comments Ernie. My next small dog will be called Elmo! And Fryatt's goal was indeed funny. Ustari had dived out of the way before Matty hit (scuffed?) it into the corner of an open goal. I had a good laugh at that one. But I do think Meyler's goal was class.
