Have we got fans who just come for the cup games? I was surrounded today by strangers! So I know the usual pass holders have not bothered to go but my point is are the people who are sat there casual fans or season pass holders who have bought tickets for a different seat?
Where abouts were you sat? I float around the stadium when I can go to a game; I just snap up any seat that I can!
My daughter is on leave from the RAF she went today and will go against Man City, she is also trying to get leave for the semi where she will fly in from Cyprus for the weekend, My son managed to get £20 to watch todays game and I will probably help him get a ticket for the semi, thats commitment unlike the 5,000 pass holders who couldn't be arsed to turn out today who will no doubt be first in the queue for tickets.
I was sat in front of some Spanish speaking lads. Made interesting listening listening to them trying to chant the Steve Bruce song in English
I'm in w10 with the family! But it wasn't just a few different faces it was newbies all over! I just hope they're floating fans who stay!
On the CI forum you criticise someone who didn't go as a plastic who is a season pass holder who lives in Portsmouth and has done for decades. He comes to nearly every match, even mid week ones spending a fortune and a great deal of time on travelling. That is more commitment over a longer period than what you are talking about, which doesn't compare. Really, you owe him an apology.
A lot of empty spaces in South Stand today. No doubt they will be the ones at Wembley telling everyone to sit down because they and their little darlings can't see and whilst you are it would you not make so much noise.
Do I, why? I know who you mean and I agree he is a fantastic supporter of our club, I stand by the fact that if you turn up for the Premier league and not the FA cup you are letting yourself down and letting the club down. Only about 16,000 home fans turned up today why did at least 5,000 give it a miss?
Someone not coming from Portsmouth on a Sunday is different from those who live in Hull who didn't go. And there are plenty of those on this site. And they are amongst those who are now talking of spending a fortune going to Wembley. Those are the ones who deserve your ire.
i was in my living room. much cheaper, not as boring and easier to get to...... i was parked on my drive although i did have to wait a while to move my wife's car after the match so i could get out. still much easier than walton street though. could be a similar choice on saturday
I'm one of those 5,000, unfortunately I had to work today. I also went to Middlesborough, Southend and Brighton away in the cup run, which I'm guessing you didn't? Don't just assume people didn't go because they couldn't be bothered.
i really couldnt be bothered!!! sunday at 2 o clock is not part of my matchday experience unless i am sat in front of me tele
I went in south stand v Brighton instead of E1 Never again . Or was there some singing in there today ?
