Wigan, FA Cup holders hanging on the beat Man City (again) 2-1 in their FA Cup game.

Emmerson Boyce was immense for Wigan today.

Hopefully this will help distract Wigan from grabbing our playoff spot - in that respect, a draw and a replay would have suited us best.

Manuel Pellegrini looking a bit uncomfortable in his 'MCFC' hoodie - imagine he'll be back to the usual suit for his next game.

and even our prodigal son SWP got into the action today:-

    FA Cup semi-final draw
Continuing the father and son theme of this year's draws, Ian Wright and Shaun Wright-Phillips will make the draw for the semi-finals.

.......and BWP scored a consolation goal as New York Red Bulls lost 4-1 to Vancouver Whitecaps in MLS play.

SWP drops the ball, he fails to regain control of it then goes missing

The semi finals are scheduled for the weekend of 12th/13th April, we are playing Wigan on Wednesday the 25th March so probably not.

I think that we have all seen enough poor football this season!

Talking of which, are you going to be down the pub on Saturday?

If even you are ignoring the great old traditions how can we expect any soul to linger on in this game? Wigan play decent football, Rosler is doing a very good job - showing the wisdom of them dumping the useless Coyle.

I didn't realise that the collapse of any integrity in the modern game was so directly linked to me not watching the Cup final, I can only offer my most sincere apologies to the world.

I'll probably still not watch it, I'll be locked in a dark room psyching myself up for the playoff final the following weekend.

Would you fancy Rosler as our next manager then?

I would like Rosler but think that the chances of this happening are close to zero!

The pub on saturday? I won't know until the last moment. I may be having a couple of pints in Chesham with family before reaching the Bush. If not, I will do my best to be at the C&S.

I holding out for an automatic promotion place and Norman Wisdom as next manager.
