Looks like the Cup runs are now over and we can start concentrating on the league.

Never mind lads and thank you for the most interesting Cup season I have ever seen as a SAFC fan.

    Onward and Upwards.

    Haway the lads.

Absolutely...BUT lets hope that today serves as a massive kick up the backside to players like O'Shea, Fletcher and Cattermole who clearly thought they just had to turn up and saunter around to win the game. If this team think they can avoid relegation without huge amounts of hard work, they will have plenty of time to reflect in the championship.

Whilst I do agreed with the spirit of the thread, that is two away games in a row where the lack of effort has been shocking...wake up or we will be in for a long summer. Quite simple Gus really, the team are not good enough to just sit off against lower league teams, because they will get out fought and lose, we have to work hard and chase from the first minute...watch the Newcastle game for proof.

yah ...Hull got to the second ball against our ability-challenged midfield from start to finish, we were piss-poor.

We were piss poor. Actually we were worse. Oshea was raped for the first goal and two epic **** ups from cattermole. Oh yeah and to make things worse we would have drawn Sheffield United. Beat them and we would have been in Europe something we have never achieved in my life so please forgive me for not wanting to just forget it and move on. Im extremely annoyed at that performance today. We had one shot on target for ****s sake. Massive chance has been missed today like no getting away from it.

Gutted here as well mate, would almost accept relegation for three trips to Wembley.

Missed opportunity God knows when we will get the chance again.

Poyet, whilst wasnt the choice of a few on here, has shown that his style of play can work. And I think i can speak for the majority on here when i say apart from the odd blip, we are playing some of the best football ever seen in a sunderland strip.

Personally hope he is here for a number of years, think given the time to assemble his own squad he could be a fantastic manager
