    Seems a bit weird that there has been a bit of a pitch invasion. Yes it's a very good achievement for Hull to get this far, but it's not even the final they've got to yet. Anyway, I'm glad Hull won and hope they get to the final.

    Potential silver lining to his season for United or Spurs. Opportunity now to finish the season in 7th, and ensure that the Europa League wont get in their way of trying to finish in the top four next season.

    Well there's nothing we can do about it now but I am really bitter about this and not a little fed-up. Call me old fashioned but I don't find the fight for eighth place very exciting and now I don't even either watch the telly or have an app on the go for away games. Great result yesterday but even if we had drawn 0-0 or lost 1-0 it really isn't that exciting - a cup game at Hull City today....that would have been exciting.

    I went shopping yesterday instead.

    I'll bet our senior coaching staff aren't even aware of the FA Cup games played today and yesterday. Despite their protestations they have no interest in either domestic cup and don't expect that to change next season [should they all still be here].

    I'd argue that Pochettino, Perez, D'Agostino and Jimenez took the cups more seriously than Adkins, Crosby, Wilkins and Stannard.

    I'll follow Saints whenever and whoever we play. Be it Besiktas in pre-season, Liverpool away, Palace away or Halifax at home. It's what I do.

    Fair enough - I was not enamoured by our Cup displays under Adkins either but we did have promotion to go for and in the end we achieved it. I personally don't agree with the team selections but I understand why they were made. This season at the stage we were in the FA Cup and the way the competition was shaping up and our league position - no excuse.

    I do listen out for the results but 44 years of avidly following and supporting Saints says I am allowed to ignore the process to that result - which is what I do. Also I never watch the highlights of them losing - I've seen enough of that over the years to satisfy me.

    I'd say I was jaded and very cynical :smile:
