No it does. This game is far more important to liverpoil than united this time round. With such tight margins at the top, every game matters and every defeat could mean its over. This is probably the biggest game against united that liverpool have had since 1996.
We could point at any defeat or decision that went against us and say the same thing, our aim is top 4 and even if Utd beat us we will still be in a better position than Spurs, Everton or the rank outsiders Utd to do so.

My main hope is your dirty players don't injure anyone after you ended 2/3 players' seasons at West Brom and van Persie was laughing his head off about it. This time thpugh liverpool are on top, in form and will apmost certainly finish above United for the first time in a decade. Lets say we beat you and that costs you the title or 4th. What are you going to cost us? 7th. I suppose this is what it felt like for you guys all this time, knowing you are so bad that your only high point is beating your rivals and hopefully stopping them winning a trophy.
