What a glorious day so far. Sun is out at last, a homemade steak & ale pie in the oven and ive got my shorts on. This afternoon im a blackburn fan
If Burnley lose today, if we beat Brighton Tuesday and Derby beat Bolton maybe pressure could make them mess up against Brum on Wednesday then it really is game on.
Damn chicken chokers - the dambusters did their job, it is written - Burnley just had our Reading moment from 2010-11 season.
Well, hats off to burnley they really are a team. A team with potential scoring power and very tight defence. They fully deserve their place in top two. Of course they have been very lucky with injuries unlike us. Still you could think that season ending injuries for Vokes and Ings (inside of week) would do some damage to them but maybe they are better trained.
There is no denying that, we on the other hand do not deserve a place in the top two, injuries aside our squad may look 'premiership' on paper but that is just the wages!, we have a poor aging squad who have not been good enough this second part of the season and no one on here can deny that, apart from delusional Dave I suppose.
Well, having watched Rhodes this afternoon, I have come to the conclusion that he is actually a very average player with a poor work-rate. He obviously has a knack for scoring goals which is always worth its weight in gold, but he isn't a Charlie Austin that's for sure.
Yes, it was - very astute Barnes Wallace double substitutions late on - now we have to win at Brighton just to maintain the gap. I guess Blackburn, and us, were on the wrong side of history today. Danny Ings struck his 25th goal of the season to secure promotion-chasing Burnley's first win over neighbours Blackburn since 1979. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/26404281 please log in to view this image
